Ahhhh, 'obedience', that hoary old adage.....and I would ask, obedience to what and to whom?
Isn't it true that we all love to be obedient to something from our own desires to the king.... so to speak.

I'm all in favour of obedience but it's not the obedience the religious promote by their lives or the obedience demanded by political entities.
So, what is the obedience necessarily in line with LIFE?
To the New Testament Scriptures and Jesus.

1 Timothy 1:5

5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

Unfortunately, many of us can be blinded by intellectual conceitedness about what the goal of being a Christian is.

We ought to do good and follow the commandments of Christ to be holy and love one another---not in words alone, but in actions and truth.

This is something I'd like to see more of in churches. Ive never seen a Protestant church pay someone's light bill...Ive only seen Catholics do that. Im not Catholic, but that is the sort of thing Im speaking of.

Striving for the narrow path is very discouraging and lonely at times. Lord, have mercy.

Part of me would love to just be apart of practically any church and act like Im saved by raising my hand in response to a salvation message.

I just don't believe that. And I know that suffering is part of the deal.

The modern understanding of "church" primarily as a physical building or an institutional entity profoundly obscures its original meaning as a "people" or a dynamic "assembly." This conceptual shift often leads to a "consumer-driven" model where individuals passively "go to church" for services, rather than actively recognizing themselves as "being the church"—a living, active body. The early ekklesia was intrinsically "community oriented," functioning as a "family" where members shared homes, possessions, and meals, embodying a vibrant "relational ecclesiology." The semantic drift has contributed to a shift from a focus on authentic relationship to an emphasis on theoretical truth, and from communal dialogue to a monologue-driven model.

A fundamental shift in perspective is required: "church" must be understood as a people, not a place. A congregation is not merely a weekly gathering that people attend, but a dynamic community in which each person actively belongs, receives support, and is encouraged to make their distinctive contribution. This requires re-emphasizing that the ekklesia is God's divinely initiated assembly—a people "called out" by Him for His specific purposes. This calling is not exclusive but profoundly inclusive, summoning individuals from diverse backgrounds to "meet with God" and actively participate in His ongoing work in the world. Reclaiming the powerful civic connotation of ekklesia, where Christ-worshippers perceive themselves as "honorable citizens who represented the city before God," is also vital. This perspective imbues Christian identity with a profound sense of purpose, collective responsibility, and public witness, moving beyond a purely private or individualistic faith.

Its what the whole of it is all about , a dog and pony show of entertainment
and agendas that best suits the heads of said places .
Like as with politics , like as with this entire all inclusive false love movement .
MAKE the people FEEL LOVED and like its all about them an dfor them , BUT its for the elites and leaders .
A dog and pony show of distraction . the agenda is about income , power control and the most easy path to mainintain said income
Sounds like govt too dont it . Sounds like he whose hope and trust is in man REALLY IS CURSED .
Sounds like its time to heed what some of us have been saying all along .
BIBLE TIME IN THE HOUSE . LEARN THAT GOD and HIS CHRIST for oneself cause DELUSION IS MASSIVE IN THESE LAST HOURS
and ITS ONLY GONNA GET WORSE .
