We find much confusion , about what Act 2:38 really means and that is what is to be adressed now.2) First , it is all Jews that are here and Acts tells us this . 3) Acts 2:1 , is a Jewish day , Pentecost , or who will someone tell me it was given to Gentiles , also ?4) v5, says where they are from , Jerusalem Jews, devout men , out of every nation under Heaven , so they are ALL jews .5) In Acts 2: 22 , Peter is still talking to Jews , Ye men of Israel .6) In v36 , Peter is talking to the house of Israel , and Peter says that , God hath made that same Jesus , whom ye have crucified , both Jehovah and Messiah . 7) When they heard ( the house of Israel v36 ) this they were PRICKED in their heart , and said unto Peter , Men and brother Jews, What shall we do ? we killed Him and he is dead .8) Peter tells them to repent of the murder and be baptized , for the forgiveness of the MURDER, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit .9) This is just like the UN-pardonable Sin , this Baptism is for Israel ONLY , for they are the ones who had Jesus killed .10) So this baptism was for the Murder of Jesus , ONLY , AND CAN'T BE USED Again .

Sorry man, maybe there's something I'm not understanding about what you're saying. It doesn't make any sense to me. Will you please elaborate a little more?

Are you talking about speaking in tongues? As in what people are calling the baptism of the Holy Spirit?

Call me crazy, but this is what i think Acts 2:38 really means...... Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

I'm with ya whiteknucle nothing personal here dan p but I cant make heads or tails of what you are talking about you call this Acts 2:38 then quote Random verse's from Acts ????????????????????????// And you are wrong all the early Christians were Jews yes they all first practiced Judaism because Christianity has its roots in Judaism but it can also means they were from Jerusalem ... I don't mean to argue Chris. Not all the early Christians were Jews first.John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.Also dealing with the Gentiles, "first for the Jew then the Gentile" But they didn't believe, soRomans 11:8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.There were Jews that Got saved, Paul as an example, and many others, Nicodemus is one that comes to mind off hand. But by and large the Jews, specifically the Pharisees didn't recieve him, which fullfilled prophecy.It seems to me the people paul was talking to were mostly Jews. That's why I believe a few of his letters seem hard to understand at times. He understood the confusion a Jew would have regarding following the Mosaic Law vs the New Covenent through Jesus death and resurection.

A Christian is a follower of Christ. Χριστιανός = Christianos = a follower of ChristThe Gospels are full of people who had followed Christ. Just because they were not called Christians, does not mean that were not there.

After all Paul was the Apostle to the Gentile nations. His perfect calling.
