I bought a jar of Omega three mixed nuts with dried cranberries in it recently. Got it at Target... it's a good size and the price was good.

Trying to get ideas for other healthy snacks.

What oil was used though, for the roasting?

I make my own frozen lollies with organic half bananas with lolly sticks pushed in, frozen then dipped in chocolate coating I make from melted organic cocao butter, organic raw cocoa, vanilla essence, chopped walnuts and chopped dried sour cherries.

Sounds like a fancy treat.

The oils were an assortment... different ones for each type of nut and cranberries. But one usually only has a handful of nuts a day.

Polyunsaturated seed oils are very bad for us. Please look it up. You would be better eating the nuts raw especially if they are sprouted.

The lollies are very easy and quick to make.

I looked it up before. My mother and fathers side of the family had long lives, into the 90's. Everything fried in bacon grease or lard. Bisquits made with lard. Don't believe the scientists who told you eggs were bad for you. Europe and Russia almost exclusively use sunflower seed oils. Their research dispute others. What's the difference between olive oil and sunflower oil? Dairy fat is worse for you, it clogs arteries, but the dairy lobby in congress won't mention that.

Nobody used seed oils before the 1940's. Nobody was getting heart attacks much. Manufacturers found that using safe animal fats cost too much so changed.

Many companies selling extra virgin olive oils are mixing them with cheaper oils, but a good olive oil is safe.
