Jesus was partial to his own
Maybe so but I struggle there. The questions may be dumb but I still have them. One being where He spoke of the wisdom which comes from God and not of men...His Spirit; easily intreated, full(pregnant) of mercy, without partiality or hypocrisy. I do get what is said to the Jew first and I’m not arguing it as not so. It is the: Jesus Christ was (is) partial.
I’m sorry I don’t know how to do short. You don’t have to read or agree but this is why: Malachi 2:5-17 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name. [6]
The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity. [7] For t
he priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. [8] But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the Lord of hosts. [9] Therefore
have I also made you contemptible and base (haven’t God chosen the base things, the foolish things to confound the wise?) before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways,
but have been partial in the law. [10] Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
“You have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.” To say Jesus Christ was partial in the law...would mean He kept not the way when He said ‘I Am the Way.”
1 Peter 2:21-25 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: [22]
Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: (
The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: ...as in Malachi where the Lord said it should be so with priests) Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but
committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: (Malachi 2:17) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. [25] For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
Was Jesus Christ partial in the law?
James 2:4-10
Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? [5] Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? [6] But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? [7] Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? [8] If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: [9] But
if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. [10] For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
‘if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin,’ did Jesus Christ sin?
‘For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.’ Did he keep the whole law or was He partial in the law? Romans 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets:
I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
