What authority do people have to make claims and presume to teach according to what they merely "believe?"

Don't do that!

If you don't "know" or only think you know, you have no business making claims and teaching. It's one thing to learn a school of thinking or belief and even teach it. But it is a mistake to teach it as "fact." Other than quoting scripture ones own understanding or interpretations, conjecture, and what one has perhaps always believed are simply subject to error. For the same reason the Priests and Pharisees, thinking they knew what was true, crucified Christ--for which He warned, "there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

History repeats itself.

In addition, it has been foretold that false teachers would enter the church teaching many destructive doctrines, the volume of which has been described as "great" (apostacy).. Don't be one to claim and teach what has been subject to possible misinterpretation. Tread carefully, as the warning still stands.

Trust the scriptures, but not all interpretations. Allow the spirit of God to confirm what is true. Be hearers and doers of the word of God, but beware the teachings of men.

Most people develop some sort of talent, in what they believe.

The question is, what establishes the work of God most concretely?

The thing that vexes me, is developing a talent, that only justifies an evil principality and not a good one.

"Whatever is of good report" focus on that!

This is the result of the foretold and fulfilled prophecy from Joel at Pentecost (promised by Jesus, and confirmed by Peter) of God pouring out His spirit upon "all" flesh-- that is, on both the good and the evil. This is the act of Christ, by namesake, "the End."

"Then comes the end."
