I live in the state of Florida. I like the sunshine. I dislike the insurance companies.

I live in New Zealand. Our country is covered in native forests, walking tracks, rivers, and waterfalls and surrounded by beaches.
I love to go stargazing at night because there is hardly any light pollution where I live, and the stars are clearly seen unless it's raining, of course...

@Riven, Well, it's just coming into spring so It's beginning to warm up after all that winter rain. I am looking forward to getting outside more and into the gardens. Even do some hiking. I am thinking of starting a prayer/hiking group and tackling one of the many mountain ranges around where I live. That would be an awesome thing to do. Yes I know who Xena Warrior Princess is. We also had Avatar, LOTRs, The Hobbit made here as well. No GI, all real scenery. Mostly down the SI.
You live in QL @Jay Ross. My sisters and I will be over there soon. In the Gold coast though. Closer to Tamborine Mountain, where another sister lives. Should be awesome.
I owned a house up on the mountain around ten years ago out near the Beacon on the escarpment edge with views past Brisbane. My wife and I still go up there regularly to visit her sister. It is under an hours' drive to her unit from where we live. If you would like a coffee PM me and I will see if my slow calendar will allow us to meet. The ball is in your court.
I may just take you up on that offer, @Jay Ross. It would be so cool to meet some of the folks from this forum.

It can get tiring after a while, but I think I'm ready to fly across the ditch again...
Just leave your broom at home. People might get the wrong idea about you if they see you with your broom. LOL.
Seriously, Florida? It sounds like these guys are very tired of being picked on. I wouldn't like to tangle with them, definitely. We don't have sheriffs in my country, but we do have Police.

Well, the United States dealt with a lot of evil during the 2020 riots, and so on. Blue states made excuses and even celebrated the criminal class among us. Red states, such as Florida, said FU, we're going to uphold the rule of law. Even if thast means killing criminals in the streets. I like it. Personally, I think we should bring back pubic executions. Show people what happens to the criminal filth that wishes to victimize upstanding citizens of our country.
Its the bleeding heart liberals that love the criminals that get in the way of true justice. If it were up to me, they would all face the gallows, and we would have true peace. But that's just my take on it.
We are still on that then? I went for a walk this afternoon. There are always awesome places to explore and not that far from home.
See, this is what we don't have in Florida. There's no mountains and it's mostly swamp the further you go from the beaches. Swamps can be fun, but there's just nothing like that here.
A typical day in Florida...
I was thinking about whether you guys had gators and if they were roaming around the place. We don't have anything wild here except birds ands possums.
I live three miles outside of the nearest town. Population 153. We have a gasoline station, a post office, an elementary school, a Dollar General Store, a barber shop, and a flashing yellow traffic light. I love the slow pace of life.

Wow! that sounds like an awesome place to live. Rural and at a more gentle pace. Is it mostly sunny in your part of the world? What is your favorite thing to do there?
