I was listening to Bill O’Riely (sp?) on Fox news and he seems to think that God is such a loving God that He will not sent people to a place like Hell. He seemed to say that the little children will not be hurt.

When God sent the flood it killed all the adults and children who were not in the Ark.

When God reigned down fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gonorrhea it killed all that were in the cities, Adults and children.

I think when people talk and think about God they focus in on "God is good" because it makes them feel safe and comfortable. They like the thought that a loving God will back them up or at least give them breathing room when they indulge in their sins. They forget (or just refuse to acknowledge) that God is also just and wrathful. The Bible doesn't tip toe around these two attributes of God, and we shouldn't ignore them and think they are lesser in nature then His goodness.
We may never understand some of the things God does, but we should never forget that as God of the universe, it is His right to judge. I think this scares people silly so they refuse to believe it is so.

So, yup...that's what I think!

There will be MANY in the eternal fire who deny its existence.

Matthew 25:41 (ESV)
[sup]41 [/sup]“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

I wouldn't rely on Bill O' Riley concerning that Bible topic.

What did Christ say the resurrection was like anyway? Didn't He say those of the resurrection are like the angels of God in Heaven?

Well, there's going to be a "resurrection of damnation" at Christ's return too, the goats separated from Christ's sheep (John 5; Matt.25).

I want to respond to the OP! The absolute truth is that we all have an opinion and that our opinions do not matter! Only God matters and all He wants us to know has been revealed in the scriptures. We must approach God in Faith and He then responds by sending the Holy Spirit to dwell with ad to lead us. Bill O'Riley has good intentions and a good heart but the Bible is the final word until the return of the Christ!

What about babies and small children will they go to hell for ever?

darling .....IMHO......we may be born into sin, but until we are old enough to accept Jesus with a clear understanding, they will be received back to Him...If you look at Jesus in the NT...you will find He never harmed a child, but talked about how we were to become child like....He prayed for children, cured them of demonic strongholds, raised them from the dead.....He loves....

My wife and I have had children entrusted to us by the Father; I am rather interested in their place in the Masters plan upon his return. I also know many mums concern themselves with the welfare of their children and rightly so!

We know don’t we the children of the saints are "an heritage of Yahweh; and the fruit of the womb is his reward" Ps. 127:3...Imagine Christ's joy when inheriting the Father's children in Isa 8:18; Psa 22:30,31 !!! Isa 53:10

I am confident the Father will provide an arrangement for the present and future well-being of our children whose parents are called to the judgement seat of Christ. When the Lord returns many children will be alive both of the household of God and of the gentile nations.

As Richard commented it is with sadness we know many unbelieving children will perish in the wars to come, however the family of God will rest secure in the knowledge that innumerable angels encamp about those children who are taught to fear Him and do fear Him.

If you search through the Bible you will see a respect is shown toward those who receive divine favour, both adults and children.

· Noah's family is one instance; 8 persons saved by water

· Lot's family another. Even Lots sons in law by command through angels were invited to flee from utter destruction but they laughed at the offer!!!

· Rehab’s family were provided protection from Jericho’s doom.

And many more!

If any are interested there is a “hint” of what make happen to children in the Kingdom age from Ezek 47:22-23.

In terms of those children who have not been called out for the Name Acts 15:14 they will remain in the congregation of the dead never to awake...but Rom 9:20,21

Sorry, no place of everlasting torture for little children, nor a pitchfork-wielding hoofed sadists in dark caverns thick with sulphurous clouds either.

Just the silence of the grave Psa 94:17; 115:17 Job 14:13; Job 17:13; Job 21:13,32
Job 33:22; Ps 30:3; 31:17; Job 49:14,15; Job 88:5,11; Job 89:48 and hundreds upon hundreds of over verses could be quoted!

You would be one sick demented individual to believe the "Almighty" the Gracious and Merciful God would allow such cruelty!

God is in total control - - Isa 45:7
