Having an online debate (though I shouldn't) about prostitution, based on the Spitzer scandal. And many people in the debate think prostitutes are victims (of childhood abuse, broken homes, their pimps, etc). While that may be true and many people certainly are victimized by many things, I can't hold the hooker in this case blameless. In fact, my online "opponents" don't even think hooking should be a crime. I can be accused of needing to be more compassionate but am I wrong to think personal responsibility seems to be going out the window? Is this what political correctness has come to?

sure God not only hates the sin! but us the sinner as well.YES it is plain God hates us we all are sinner's.churches that teach God only hates the sin but not the sinner are not telling the truth of the bible.but there is also so something worse than that . Churches that don't tell about the full and free forgivness Jesus has won for all from God. Are guilty of a much more saddistic crime.(Peace on earth good will to Men.) THE ANGELS SANG BECAUSE they knew that is what Jesus would win for us from God , by his perfect life in our sinful stead and his innocent death on the cross in our place.Jesus alone has made peace between God and us.

Pro 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.humm doesnt say he hates us at allJhn 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. Deu 10:15 Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, [even] you above all people, as [it is] this day. Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time [was] the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine. Hsa 11:4 I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them. Hsa 14:4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him. Jhn 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. I could post a lot more but this will suffice seems as though he has always loved us

It is my humble opinion, that though some prostitutes may be "victims" but there comes a time in every ones life to take responsibility and come out of it.. Most prostitutes stay in prostitution because they are either drug addicts and this has been their way to get fast cash. In the case of the so called" high class call girls" they stay because the money can be very good and they like all the nice things that it buys..Many of us come from abusive homes and have chosen other professions. I think that old worn out tale of why a prostitute has decided to sell herself/hisself is due to her or his tragic back ground is more for teen age prostitutes and as I mentioned, drug addicts. Any one else does it for the money .People make excuses for every type of behavior because they do not want to take responsibility for their actions.

I think people just love pointing fingers and making threads about other people's personal responsibility.I remember our lord saying: "Judge not, that ye be not judged." (Matthew 7:1)

He also said, "Thou shalt not commit adultery."A crime was committed (possibly several) and a marriage has been wrecked. Someone IS to blame. Like or not.

While I do believe prostitution to be sin, I see no reason why it should be a crime. In order for there to be a crime, there has to be a victim. If men weren't willing to pay huge amounts of money for sex because they're not getting satisfied at home, prostitution would become a thing of the past. My wife gave herself to a LOT of men--when she couldn't sell it. No one forced her to do that.Unfortunately, there are women who are forced into prostitution as early as childhood, and it's the only life they know. Such people ARE (in my opinion) victims. Some prostitutes, perhaps, are not victims but choose to make money that way rather than going out and working at an 8 hour a day job.I don't understand the police who set up a fake prostitution sting with a female officer posing as a prostitute in order to trap men who are just looking for sex. The man becomes a criminal because he was horny and was willing to pay for sex? I've never done that by the way--in case anyone is wondering because of my reply. Yes, prostitution, paying one for sex, or having sex with anyone to whom one is not married is SIN, but why should it be a crime and punishable by jail time when there are so many real crimes that go unsolved while the police are setting up stings to trap people into committing what they consider to be a crime? If it's such a crime, why are the police providing the opportunity for men to commit that crime?
