What if Jesus chose to stay dead and not to rise again? Since He was God in the flesh He could have probably still been God and done that if He had wanted to. Besides being sad, depressing, and no Easter, would that change the end result because all He really had to do to save us was to die for our sins.

There would have been no evidence that Jesus' death on the Cross satisfied the wrath of the Lord on our behalf, if Jesus had not risen from the dead.

Jesus would have been just another man who died on a cross.

The empty tomb is the thing that reveals to the world that Jesus was and is the Son of God.

If Jesus had not risen, the Jews might have been able to say that they were right in crucifying Him.

He would have been just another figure in history; and perhaps not even recognized as He is today....He might have just gone into obscurity.

The resurrection is Jesus' claim to fame.

Although I see what you're saying Jesus performed other miracles so why wouldn't that be proof that He was the Son of God?

I think because God told the Israelites not to be led astray by people who work miracles if they are seeking to lead you after other gods.

In rising from the dead, Jesus proved that He was in fact YHWH...and therefore He was not seeking to lead the people of Israel to worship other gods with all of the miracles that He did.

and that their is a coming ressurection as well . Cause even paul said these preach the ressurection is past already
and it over throws the faith of some . We must believe the simple gospel .
That if you shall confess with your mouth JESUS and believe from the heart that GOD has rose Him from the dead you shall be saved .
Then let us learn the one true JESUS in that bible well . As well as all the sound doctrine in the bible .
And let us be praising , and thanking the Lord for the great mercy of His grace which HE has given us in JESUS CHRIST .
THE ONLY NAME and I Do say ONLY Name whereby one can be saved . JESUS IS THE ONLY HOPE , ONLY SALVATION
ONLY WAY unto GOD . LET the KING be praised my dear sister . The lambs who love Him truly have all hope .
But the evidence of our love is seen in this .......THOSE WHO LOVE ME KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS . YEP we LOVE EVERY WORD OF OUR LORD .
And His sayings are not a burden to us , ITS JOY to the LIVE UNTO THE LORD .
