Third - Jesus Christ is the Word of God!
Ok, the title to this thread is: What is means to be Lord, and God
As just shown above, it means you are LORD - meaning "Jehovah" in Hebrew. And to be God you have to of course have the words of God!
I mean obviously if someone is God they have the words of God, and thus are sitting on the throne of God, and have the power and authority of God!! If that person has them and they all belong to that person, then He is God!! And Jesus was given all those things by His Father!! Indeed all things of the Father are His, but none probably more important than the very words of God!! Which explains why the gospel of John starts off:
Jn 1:1,2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.
With the words of God come the power and authority of God. With that power and authority of God it is possible to create things!! As we can see in the very next verse
Jn 1:3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
So the Father gives Jesus Christ the words of God making Him the Word of God and all things are now created through Him, because He has the authority and power of God? So is Jehovah "THE LORD" the creator? Jesus Christ sure is the creator!! Nothing came into being apart from Him. Of course, the Father brought Him forth, so apart from Him, all else were created through Him. The Father, as seen in Ps 2, make Jesus Christ the King and Lord (Jehovah), before anything else existed! Therefore the plan the Father had, because of His love for His "only begotten son", resulted in the Son being the God who had all the authority and power of God and thus created all things apart from Himself.
We are not the Sons of Jesus Christ's Father, we are like Sons of Jesus Christ, the Word of God!!
Is 9:6 For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Do we not see in the above verse that child, Jesus Christ who took on flesh and went to the cross for us, is our Eternal Father?????
No some think that His Father is our Father - but that is not the case. His Father is His Father and He is our Eternal Father!! I mean it is right there in the Scriptures - that child born is to be called our Eternal Father, and so obviously not His Father!!! I am just amazed that people read the Bible and can't put together this simple logic!!
And Since His Father declared Him to be King the government, so that all rest on His shoulders, He is Mighty God!!! Of course He is Mighty God; after all He is the King over the Kingdom of God, and that means He has "THE POWER", --- like in the Bruce All Mighty movie!
And because that power comes with the authority of God, meaning the words of God, He is also the Wonderful Counselor!! He said He would never leave us, so obviously He is omni-present so we can at any time seek Him and hear from Him!!! And don't you want a "Wonderful Counselor"???
I pulled up to the post office one day and suddenly He started talking to me saying, "Karl, they call me Wonderful Counselor, and so I Am. But I am not a wonderful counselor to those who don't listen to Me."
Of course, that is really obvious!! But amazingly, people cannot apply the Scriptures to their life!! That is because they don't combine the reading of the Scriptures with the belief that Jesus Christ is indeed really there to be heard from!!! So they can read that He is the Wonderful Counselor, but they can't believe Him to just be there to tell them wonderful counsel!
So not only do they not know Him as Wonderful Counselor, but they don't know Him as any of those things which are written about Him!!
That all begins because they don't know Him as the Word of God!!! That is why John starts by explaining that He is the Word of God!! It means that before you can understand and know Him, you first have to decide to start listening to Him by faith. Indeed, that is really the only thing that we need to know about someone, and it indeed the only thing needed!!
Gal 3:2 This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of [fn]the Law, or by [fn]hearing with faith?
Luke 10:42 But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”
What it means for Jesus Christ to be Lord and God is that His sheep hear His voice!!
Ok - because we hear His voice, we get understanding. We understand that He is Lord. We understand that He is King. We understand that He is our Wonderful Counselor, our Might God, our Eternal Father, our Teacher, and our LORD (Jehovah if you want to speak Hebrew) It is like written, "from His mouth come understanding"
I testify about Him : that He has the words of God, so it my Wonderful Counselor, my Teacher, my Eternal Father, the Mighty God! He is my provider, even getting me sales for my internet business that He gave me. He is the One who encourages me! Gives me ideas about how to proceed. And you know what - He is my friend. We walk and talk together, and that give me peace. He is the Prince of Peace. The most common words I hear from Him are, "Karl, I love you." The first time I heard those words spoken by Him to me caused me to weep thinking how incredible God loving me was. I have had Him tell me to pray for someone and seen literally seen hundreds, and maybe even a thousand, miracles. Swelling has gone done under my hands as I prayed according to what He told me to pray - and soo much more!
What it means to be a real Christian, is having a very real personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the KING OF KINGS AND LORD (JEHOVAH) OR LORDS! He is the Word of God and has been from the beginning, even from that point where His Father begot Him and told Him that He was being made King and Lord (Jehovah) -
