Christians have more potential for success in life through the power of faith in God's Word. Believe that you can walk by faith in the power of the Holy Spirit. Believe that you can withstand the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil and that you can grow as a Christian. It is He in you, Who is greater than He is in the world. (1 John 4:4).

  • “Why should I say I cannot when the Bible says that I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). Here is a very famous verse that says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." That means you can do whatever you decide you want to do. I believe that, by the grace of God, we can do whatever we need to do in life. I think that's the mindset we need to have. Nothing is too much for you if you trust God. Do you handle anything that gets in your way because God promises He will never let us overwhelm us? So keep a positive attitude wherever you are from now on, no matter what happens in your life. Rejoice that God is with you. Success will come to you if your faith in God is strong enough and your efforts allow God to be involved in your process.

  • “Why should I worry about my needs when I know that my God will supply all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). This is a very special Word because it tells us that God provides for all our needs and that it will be… God already knows our needs and He will answer them. respond to them, He will satisfy them abundantly, He will meet all our needs "according to the riches of His Son".

  • “Why should I be weak when the Bible says that God is the strength of my life and that I will be strong because I know my God” (Psalm 27:1; Daniel 11: 32). God is the strength of my life. Who will I fear? When the wicked, even my enemies and my enemies, come to eat me, they stumble and fall. Though an army must lay siege to me, my heart will not fear: though a war breaks out against me, I will be sure of this.

  • “Why should I fail when the Bible says that God always leads me to victory” (2 Corinthians 2:14).

  • “Why should I lack wisdom when I know that Christ gave me wisdom and that God generously gave me wisdom when I asked Him” (1 Corinthians 1:30; Gia -muscle 1: 5)

  • “Why should I be discouraged when I have hope and I remember God's goodness, mercy, and faithfulness (Lamentations 3:21-23).

  • “Why should I worry and be insecure when I can leave all my worries to Him because He cares about me” (1 Peter 5:7).

  • “Why should I lack the faith to live for Jesus when God has given me a measure of faith” (Romans 12:3).

@Jennifer Rogers The biggest success, so to speak, revolves around the Finished work of Christ, through whom the believer has the victory now that He is risen (1 Corinthians 15.57; Matthew 28.6); and now at the right hand of the Father our Great High Priest Who is passed into the heavens (Hebrews 4.14) ever lives to make intercession for His people (Hebrews 7.25; Romans 8.34). :)

Thank you for the answer.

What is success in the Bible?

For a man...to heartfully and freely lay down his bodily life, as verification of Love that man has for the Lord God Almighty.

For the Lord God...to claim such man as Gods everlasting Inheritance.

Glory to God,
Taken

The times we are in today, the following advice from Apostle Peter about the 'end' of this world applies more now than ever...

2 Peter 3:7
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
KJV

2 Peter 3:10-18
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

“And keep the charge of the LORD your God: to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn;" - 1 Kin. 2:3

That is how the Bible defines true success.

I love what you wrote! But I feel I must address the "I can do all things" message. Some Christians take that verse out of context and believe they can actually do anything - and later on, are met with a disappointment, not quite achieving these unreasonable and monumental feats. So they may think they failed or did not have enough faith. And we should underatand that Hod says NO to certain things we desire.
Faith is a gift and given in various degrees by God. But this faith is not specifically given to accomplish worldly achievements. It is mainly directed towards spiritual things above, but also things down here too. We absolutely need faith to run the race, persevere. I don't have perfect pitch so I can't juat listwn to a musical score once and copy it. I know people who have that gift and one was very successful - could conduct for any orchestra.
Paul is in prison talking about adversity, bad things that come our way and when this happens we can draw from God and have peace, joy and be content with our present situation whether we are poor, rich, unhealthy or strong.

The meaning of Phil 4:13 is clear if we read the whole context.
We all can't be rocket scientists, Mozart or have the talent of Shakespeare or be the president. If you are 30 years old, never played sports before and just became a Christian, can you simply by believing and chanting that verse be in the Olympics? No. Actually those athletes start at 5 years old. Beethoven was gifted by God, a prodigy, writing orchestrations at 5 years old.
We were born with certain gifts and talents with a specific purpose that God prepared us for - some for great things and some for just simple things, some with great minds and others with simple minds.
So we should be encouraged that we can excel in the many areas if we put our minds and will to it but within God's purpose for us.
In all things, be content is the primary message.
