I heard the word of God in a 'Youth For Christ' rally in my home town in 1960. I was twelve years old. I heard that, 'all have sinned and come short of the glory of God', and that therefore included me. That, 'the wages of sin is death ...', but, '... the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord' (Rom, 6:23). God brought me under conviction of sin, and I sought forgiveness, went forward for counselling, and believing the gospel of God concerning His Son the Lord Jesus Christ, asked God, in the name of Jesus Christ to save me from my sin.

God began a work in me that day, and has continued it until this day (now aged 76yrs), and I am assured will continue to do so, until the day of Christ (Phil. 1:6). It is the word of God, in the hands of the Holy Spirit, that saves, the word that keeps, and the word that nourishes and brings forth growth.

Praise God!

That's a good question.

Where I place my topics has more to do with how I am viewed on the forum than the topics themselves.
My threads are typically challenges to "orthodox" positions, or better termed, the status quo.

Thinking people like yourself can handle a challenging question.
And frankly, this topic is not that challenging at all.

Met a group of young people on the street, in the USA, one night......about 10p.
Talked to them about eternal things......God's love, and Jesus dying for their sin.
One of them was moved to trust in Christ, but didnt know exactly what that means..., so i led them to do it.

Numbers 5:28 And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.

To me it’s that one verse in Numbers five when the woman is thought to be unfaithful, accused under the law of jealousies, and she is made to drink the bitter water.

A testimony is I hated this passage. Until one night I saw Christ in it. It’s changed everything for me. Christ the first fruit among many.

How can you not see Christ in it? If the woman drinks and if clean, she is free, (bears) and conceives seed. (Some translations has “fruit”) it’s the gospel -Galatians 4:26 But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother. Is the gospel you must be born from above?

How is she clean, free, his seed remaining, bringing forth fruit …except for Christ. The woman who is guilty brings forth death. Were the good-news of Christ in that?

In Romans Paul’s tells those who know the law (of jealousies) by the body of Christ you are free, free to bring forth unto God. No longer an adulterer. Isn’t that the gospel? No longer alienated from God by our sin?

Revisiting. Mostly I don’t want you to brush it aside and at least not consider Numbers 5 law of Jealousies. I’m wonder why someone might not see Christ in the woman who is clean, free, and bears seed. (Fruit) is it because it’s to the Sons of Israel? If so, I agree which stands out to me even more that it’s written go tell the Sons of Israel what about the adulterous woman and the free woman. But even in that …Paul expounds on their being born of not the bond slave but the Free. And in Romans 7 Paul goes on to lay out the differences between “you are no longer married” but free from the law(I say this to those who know the law), you brothers by the body of Christ are free to bear fruit unto God. No longer called an adulterous woman.

What if I tell you even Numbers 5 law of jealousies of a husband who expects his wife of unfaithfulness even connects to
Hebrews 10:26-31 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, [27] but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. [28] Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. [29] How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace? [30] For we know him who said, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay." And again, "The Lord will judge his people." [31] It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
