In previous verses, God promised He would someday restore His people to their land....

The imagery in the Jeremiah passage most closely resembles the predictions given by Jesus in Matthew 24....

Understanding what the word 'Worm' in Scripture means is very crucial to understanding what is happening now with this Virus situation and the coming Mark of the Beast.

The word Worm is an allusion to Man's DNA. The same applies to the word Serpent.

The 'Seed of the Serpent' is Mankind's corrupt genetics. It's in all of us right now. Most Christian's egos are too big to receive this information. They are simply too full of themselves to understand just how far we are fallen.

Jacob is a 'Worm' because he represents the Promised Seed (DNA) of Abraham and of Christ. Israel is the Code Word the Bible uses to name the Genetics of the Glorified Body.

Thus Jacob's Ladder is a picture of this Advanced DNA...

Angels are ascending and descending on it because the advanced Genetics allows for that.

"What Is the Tribulation?
As we discuss the great tribulation to take place just before Jesus returns, keep in mind that there have been several other "times of trouble" for God's people in the past.

For example, the children of Israel endured 400 years of tribulation just before the Exodus (Acts 7:6). The early Christians also passed through a time of trouble immediately after the stoning of Stephen (Acts 8:1). From A.D. 303-313, during the era represented by the Smyrna church (Revelation 2:10), God's people suffered a 10-year period of tribulation. The great tribulation also coincides with the Battle of Armageddon. Both take place immediately before Christ's second coming. "And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done."

It is my belief that the great time of trouble will last only a month or two. Here are a few Scriptures that show it will be a short period of time.

Revelation 18:8 tells us, "Therefore shall her plagues come in one day." A "day" in Bible prophecy represents one literal year (Ezekiel 4:6, Numbers 14:34, Luke 13:32). So when Revelation says that "her plagues come in one day," it means within, or less than, one year's time. The very nature of the seven last plagues-the rivers and seas turning to blood and the planet being scorched with great heat-would render it impossible for the human race to survive more than a month or two. This is why Jesus said, "And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened." Matthew 24:22, NKJV....

This passage has a double application. Written to Israel and Judah
during their exile, it also speaks to the time of the end; for we are all exiles,

literal Israel but to all who are Christ's, and thus Abraham's seed, and heirs
according to the promise. We too have the hope of returning to the land of our fathers, to Eden restored.

What an amazing illustration of the experience and feelings of the people
of God during the time referred to as "the time of Jacob's trouble"!
What was Jacob's trouble? You can read about it in Genesis 32. As Jacob
neared the land of his father after an absence of many years, word came to
him of the approach of his brother Esau, accompanied by 400 men. After
doing all within his power to avert disaster, Jacob went alone to the brook
Jabbok, "and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the
day" (verse 24). "And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the
hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he
wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he
said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. And Jacob
asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of the place
Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. And as he
passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh"
(verses 25-31).

What Happened to Jacob?
You remember the story. God had promised Jacob the birthright. But
God has a habit of waiting until the last minute. In fact, God had waited
until Esau was out collecting the venison to bring in so he could get the
birthright. Jacob and his mother got nervous. They put their heads
together and said, "God helps those who help themselves."

In spite of the fact that Jacob was converted at Bethel when he saw the
ladder from earth to heaven, in spite of the fact that he had morning and
evening worship (and there were little piles of stones all over the land to
prove it), he still had been going through a struggle, over and over
again, to learn that what God has promised He is able to perform.
Jacob continued in the same pattern of trying to help God out, until there
by the brook a heavy hand was laid on his shoulder. Then he feared that this
was it—he was going to die. He also feared that he had brought this disas-
ter upon himself by his own sin, 20 years earlier.

This experience of Jacob illustrates what God's people will go through
during the time of Jacob's trouble"
