Even if the word "light" was written into every verse of the bible you would still find a way to not understand. Why does the entire life of your inner man depend on Eph. 6...as opposed to say Rom. 6 for another outer man speculator here?I'm sorry. Did you answer the question of where one can find the word "light" in Ephesians 6?
Why can't "put on the armour of light" have any value whatsoever? Is it because it is found in Romans 13. Is 13 an unlucky number for you?
Why can't the bible be used to interpret itself. Unless you have a temporally carnal understanding of the armour of God...like a physical armour? A psychological pretend armour??? If you were honest, you would at least have an honest argument. But we are talking about how the ego defends itself against anything that is actually life-giving. So then remain in the deadness of your beliefs. There must be those who stand against the truth. Why not you???
For others I write...
If the bible said "we are to walk on water as Jesus walked on water"...no one would think anything other than a miraculous walk.
But it seems we can write off as a religious formula to "be in the light as He is in the light"...or to abide in Him to "walk even as He walked."
The bible is written so that it can only be understood by the inner man of faith. The outer man must deny, twist and obscure the true meaning of the text in a bid for self-preservation. I am constantly in awe of how God can hide the truth so efficiently within the plain text of scripture.
