What is truth?

Everything we see and feel is created by God and continues to exist because of God. Without God they would become nothing. On the other hand, God, who is love exist on His own accord; and is eternal. Therefore, love is the only reality or truth. The world makes us believe that material things and self-interest will bring us happiness and security. This is a lie; because they are devoid of love. That is why we lose peace when we pursue our own interest and material goods. The world has even corrupted the meaning of the word, “love” by equating it with affinity or desire. However, love is not a feeling. It is the spirit of surrender, sacrifice, forgiveness and service. This love is revealed to us in Jesus, who emptied His life for us, so that we (who betrayed Him and were unfaithful to Him) may have life. It is this love that will bring us peace and joy, because when we exercise this love we will be true to what we are created for.

I beleive 1st Corinthians 13:6 sums up what your trying to say. God bless you for staying in gods truth freind never loose sight of that no matter how much the world tells you not to.

Good post. Simple thing is the truth is, it cannot be changed, if it is changed it is a lie. The truth needs no defense, a lie always wants defending, if you get your back up about something then you probably believe a lie, because if you had the truth you would know you where right and wouldnt need to defend it. If you belive something to be true and its a lie, it is still a lie, it isnt the truth just because you believe it to be true.In His Love

Us Christians attempts to put prayer into schools run directly counter to biblical teachings. Jesus said prayer should be a private affair devoid of public display: "And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room (or closet.) and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret..." (Matthew 6:5-6 RSV). We Biblicists violate this on a regular basis and have no intention of correcting our behavior. We demand that evolution be taken out of the curriculum. We demand parochial school receive voucher programs so that they may collect public funding. Christians continuously pray in public, IE: churches, street corners, schools, courts, etc. yet all the while they never stop to think this is in direct violation to the god we pray to.
