In the last month of that year "Ballerina" by Vaugh Monroe was the biggee.

In 1937 recordings were heard on the radio and sometimes introduced on stage or in the movies. not sure if the same month but a top hit that year which was #1 or close to it when I was born was "That Old Feeling"..

recorded by Shep Fields and His Rippling Rhythm Orchestra. In 1960 Frank Sinatra recorded it.

Mine was I Remember You by Frank Ifield here in the UK while it was Roses Are Red (My Love) by Bobby Vinton in the US.

That was more my parents type of music

In 1961 when I was 10 years old Elvis came out with "Wooden Heart" , It was part
of his musical movie "G.I. BLUES" and was recorded while Elvis was still in the army
He was stationed in Europe and sings part of it in German

It has always been one of my favorite songs yet hardly anyone has ever heard of it.

I was raised near Winnipeg , home of many famous musicians , here is "Cruel War" by "Sugar and Spice"

'becha never heard this song before ... beautiful voices , they mostly sang Gospel.
