I was remembering that methodologies don't work.
We need to listen for God's direction. Even Jesus did this in His healing ministry.
John 5:19 NIV
Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself;
he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.
Interesting to compare the methods the Father instructed Jesus to use in healing the blind.
In some cases He touched their eyes after interviewing them. Matthew 9:27-30
In another case He spit on a man's eyes. Then He laid hands on His eyes. Mark 8:21-25
Then He spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. John 9:1-8
Following the Father's direction was more important than methodologies.
Even the Baptism with the Holy Spirit ignored methodologies.
In Acts two the converts were baptized and received the Holy Spirit.
In Samaria the baptized believers did not receive the Holy Spirit.
At the house of Cornelius the gentiles began speaking in tongues while Peter was still preaching.
In Ephesus Paul baptized the disciples of Apollos who had only received John's baptism.
He laid hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit.
We need to listen for the Father's leading even today.
