Yes, I have been to Montana and you are perfectly correct. It is a beautiful state.
That is why it is totally bizarre that Montana elected an evil Democrat -- Jon Tester -- to represent it in the Senate. This man opposed the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, an outstanding judge, as well as Mike Pompeo and Gina Haspell (and several qualified others). He also opposed spending cuts to expired and unnecessary programs, when the deficit is beyond belief.
@Mayflower: Yes, I guess Colorado is a similar Western state in the Rockies; without the air pollution over Denver! :)
People talk about Manisnowba, Canada; and there must be a similar name for Montana... :)
Montana is also the sort of state that is a buttress against anti-business statist bureaucracy.Right. Many snow balls.

It's a huge state, also; one of the biggest among the Lower 48...
(Maybe not quite as big as some of the vast and nearly empty Canadian provinces...)

A lot of ppl have connections with Montana through the military; because there are a lot of bases there.
