Those who claim to love Jesus but refuse to turn from any sin, including masturbation, prove by their actions that they do not love Jesus and are not covered by His grace.
I disagree.

Brother, the Bible doesn't say, "Depart from Me, ye that worketh the law."

It says, "Depart from Me ye that worketh lawlessness."

Actually, the word "lawlessness" doesn't refer to believers, at all. Similar to the word "reprobate". Same thing here.

Bro, according to James, Satan and his demons are "reprobate" believers who work lawlessness. Christians who refuse to give up lawlessness (like masturbation while indulging in porn) will be consigned to the fires of hell "prepared for the devil and his angels."

Phil 1:6 NIV - A good work is carried out on to completion.
Col 2:13-15 NIV - All sins are covered.
2 Tim 1:9 NIV - We're not saved because of anything we've done.
1 Peter 1:3-5 NIV - We have an eternal inheritance. We are shielded by God's power.
1 Cor 6:9-11 NIV - Verse 11/Past Tense
1 Cor 9:24-27 NIV - Enduring or not enduring is not about losing salvation, it's about gaining or losing crowns in heaven after you die.

Matt 28:16-20 NIV Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

John 3:18 NIV Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

John 5:24 NIV “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.

John 10:27-30 NIV My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all ; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30I and the Father are one.”

John 14:16 NIV And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
Rom 4:7-8 NIV “Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. 8Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”
Rom 8:1-2 NIV Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
Rom 8:33 NIV Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.
Rom 8:37 NIV No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Rom 8:38-39 NIV For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Rom 10:3-4 NIV Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. 4Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

Rom 10:9-10 NIV If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Eph 1:13-14 NIV And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

Eph 2:7-9 NIV in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast.

Eph 4:30 NIV And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Phil 1:6 NIV being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Col 2:13-15 NIV When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

2 Tim 1:9 NIV He has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

1 Peter 1:3-5 NIV Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

1 Cor 6:9-11 NIV Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

You believe in only 1/2 a Gospel and you discard the rest. Most Christians do this because they want fool themselves into thinking they are living for Jesus when they are really living in sin and have no intention from turning from it. I hope this is not your case.. Nothing can separate us, or snatch us, or cause us to cross from life to death, but by our own choice.

Born-again, enlightened, tasters of the heavenly gift, partakers of the Holy Ghost, Christians who turn from following Christ will absolutely be condemned to the Lake of Fire.

"For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame." Hebrews 6:4-6 KJV

Actually, that passage is not referring to losing your salvation. Most who quote it skip verse 7-8. It's referring to those who never had the root of salvation to begin with.

Hebrews 6:4-8 NIV, Matt 13:1-23 NIV, Rom 11:11-24 NIV / Farmer / Crop / Seed / Soil / Thorns and Thistles / Root

Matt 13:21 NIV But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.

Heb 6:4-8 NIV It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age 6and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. 7Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. 8But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.

Are you a Catholc? There is no intermediate state, you are either saved or lost!

It plainly says they partook of the Holy Spirit. God only gives His Spirit to them that obey Him. Only a non-carnal mind can obey God. This is talking about branches who by their love of sin detached themselves from the vine and
will be cast into the fire.

Peter says that those who've escaped the world of sin and return are worse off than before they escaped.

We are safe only as we are submitted day by day, moment by moment to Jesus and those who don't like this arrangement now will not like it in eternity, so make up your mind if you are going to turn from sin with all your heart or hear the words of Jesus: I never knew you, Depart from Me ye that work lawlessness."

Catholic, no. I'm a born again Christian. Correct, you are either saved or lost. God doesn't contradict himself. I would submit that most take Heb 6:4-6 out of context.

Carnal minded people cannot obey God (Romans 8:7 KJV) and God only gives His Spirit to them the obey Him (Acts 5:32 KJV), so the people in Hebrews can only have been non-carnal minded people (born again Christians) if they were "partakers of the Holy Spirit" (Hebrews 6:4-6 KJV).

Partake also means shared. Even Judas shared in the Holy Spirit. Even the devil knows the Lord. Rom 1:18-32 NIV.

Heb 6:4 NIV It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit,

If you read Hebrews 6:4-8 NIV, Matt 13:1-23 NIV, Rom 11:11-24 NIV / Farmer / Crop / Seed / Soil / Thorns and Thistles / Root..

it looks to me that they are referring to non believing Jews, and not born again christians.

Ingrafted Branches

Rom 11:11-24 NIV Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. 12But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their full inclusion bring!

13I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry 14in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them. 15For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? 16If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.

17If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” 20Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. 21For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.

22Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. 23And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!
