I have His Spirit, the right one. Because with him I don't want to sin. Sin offers itself to me, but for me it is like to force me to eat dog's poop. I don't need it. This is freedom. I'm not restraining myself. I don't want pleasure or fear that sin uses to hook us.
It's as you say...we should not WANT to sin, we should be adverse to sin.
And I agree that serving God is the only true freedom we have.
Satan enslaves...
God frees.
I do wonder, however, how anyone could be perfect when our very thoughts are not 100% directed by our spirit.
I wonder if persons such as yourself mean big sins or if they understand that we commit little sins every day and should ask forgiveness for them.
God is hurt by our sin....of course the big sins...but even the little ones....
God is pure and totally holy and cannot be in the sight of sin.
I also see, on these forums, persons that state that they could sin and still be saved....this is not taught in scripture.
But there are also a few that state that they are perfect and never sin.
I guess of the two the second is better, but I also believe that is not taught.
But far be it for me to debate with someone that is stating that sinning is not for Christians.
I have to agree with that.
