The human mind can't be non physical.
If it were, then parts of the human mind would be evil and the other parts would be good. It would be like two armies at war, with one being good and the other evil.
But the army that is good must be the smarter army of the two of them. Given infinite time to plan a revolt, the smarter army would eventually break free from the evil/dumb army by outsmarting them. The dumb army would be too dumb to foresee it happening.
So when the bible says that the human mind is non physical and has two different personalities with one being good and the other not, it's the same as saying what I said above. The good side would win in the end.
The bible still tries to say that into eternity the evil side will outsmart the good side and take full control forever. That makes zero sense by psychology and physics. The only way to win a war is to outsmart the other side.
We see the same overused idea in fiction and in real life. The evil group initially is allowed control by the smart group, but the smarter group uses that as a way to take full control by secret.
Evil people r suicidal and only decide to capture smart people as a means of coping with their own one inevitable suicide. That leads to smart people eventually taking back control. Evil people r mentally crippled and cannot maintain control forever.
