Works and Rewards

Most think unless they knock on doors, give to missionary or some other thing they can't go to heaven. Putting trust in works will keep you out of heaven.

I disagree.
I will give you a happy face for every person you find on this forum that thinks that "works"...or Good Deeds will save them or are required to get to heaven. I will give you a most, most of the time when people say this they are preaching to choir.

Yeah I think we were on the same page, in verse 5 it says they shall reign for ever and ever.

Precious friend, no ruling and reigning With CHRIST? Why would Paul say:

"Know ye not that we Shall judge angels?" (1 Corinthians 6 : 3
cp "rewards" in 1 Corinthians 3 : 8-15 KJB!), IF there is "Only ONE reward"
then what are the "rewardS"?

The only reward in heaven is eternal life.

We judge today don't we. Angels do no wrong. Why should we judge them. But judgement begins at the house of God.

As others have stated there are rewards in heaven, what they are I am not sure, but Salvation is not one of the rewards

It reminds me of the 12 elders who are constantly casting their crows to Jesus

In my mind the rewards will be a basket of goodies, call them flowers, Some will be amazingly full and some will be sadly nearly empty. But comes the time we stand before the Lord, we will hand him our baskets and say "this is what I did for you.....and if He smiles, that is all the reward I need

Faith trust and belief in Jesus Christ is all that's needed to be saved. Accepting is blood atonement for sins. And having your mind renewed becoming a new creature. Thads all that's required. Unless you are a Pharisee.
