New King James Version, James 1:

13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.

New King James Version, Matthew 4:

7 Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’ ”

God cannot be tempted in the first place. English Standard Version is better:

Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
