Psalm 51:16-19
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; You take no pleasure in burnt offerings.
17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.
18In Your good pleasure, cause Zion to prosper; build up the walls of Jerusalem.
19Then You will delight in righteous sacrifices, in whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on Your altar.
@Ferris Bueller Great, searching Psalm there!

@mailmandan FYI...so do you have a favorite Psalm?
I have a lot of favorite Psalms. Just to name some:

Psalm 27:1 - The LORD is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 34:8 - Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Psalm 37:28 - For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.
Psalm 55:22 - Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

More than just one. But being pressed I'd say Psalm 139:

"
O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3 You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
5 You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.

7 Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
9 If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,”
12 even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.

@junobet

Great Psalm, thanks!

Maybe this hymn was written with it in mind...

"Grant us thy peace, Lord, through the coming night;
turn thou for us its darkness into light;
from harm and danger keep thy children free,
for dark and light are both alike to thee."

I don't know enough of the Psalms to say what my favorite is, but I do treasure Psalm 141:1-5
