I didn't call "being born again of water and Spirit" nonsense. I called "birthed our spirit into His" nonsense. I stand by that.
As for being born again of water and Spirit, I would point out here that it was well defined and illustrated by Peter in his sermon on the day of Pentecost where he told his listeners who apparently believed what he had just told them about Jesus Christ to "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:38). I understand both, Acts 2:36-41 and John 3: 3-8, to be describing salvation of the person being baptized and being born again.
Born of the Spirit sees Peter doing the work that the Spirit gave him to do, by giving Peter the Spirit to do it with.
If we repent of strife, we cant still do the same strife...
1 Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
James 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
