Mat 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
The Lord our God never to my recollection in scripture teach or tell the Children of Israel to “love your enemy” in the OT. There is “thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” but no love your enemy.
So why now that Jesus has come into the world is He teaching us who know Him, to love your enemy?
Tit 3:4, But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
Tit 3:5, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Tit 3:6, Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Tit 3:7, That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
For years I just assumed that anybody that could preach knew God's Word. I no longer believe that since they are generally told what and how to preach according the church doctrine. Those that didn't would lose there licence.
I never had a licence but I have learned a lot. I am going to point out one by one what I have found. You may want to make your remarks, and if they agree with what I found, then great. If not, I will try to point why I believe the way I do.
A day in Gen 1 is not a 24 hour day, for that matter it is not a 24 hour day in Gen 2.
Mankind, not just a man, was created in Gen 1.
I would hope that if you don't agree with me, you would give scripture why, and on the other hand I will point out why I believe the way I...
2 Corinthians 12:7 KJB - "thorn in the flesh"
What does this mean according to scripture?
2 Corinthians 12:7-8 [thorn in the flesh of Paul/eyesight]
The Context 2 Corinthians 12:1-21 KJB
The context of Paul's “thorn” [vs 7], was specifically said to be “in the flesh” [vs 7, Greek, “τη σαρκι”], and therefore was not an 'evil spirit', but an “infirmit[y]” [vs 5,9,10; Greek “ασθενειαις”, of body or mind] that was constantly with him, even though he had prayed to God “thrice” [vs 8] for “it”/”thing” [vs 8] to be 'removed' [vs 8; “depart”; Greek “αποστη”]. Jesus told him, that “My...
So I was thinking. Okay. President Trump doesnt deserve impeachment. Even if he had done anything wrong, the fact that Democrats have been planning to impeach him even before he was elected, makes them guilty in election tampering. I dont believe for a second he withheld money from Ukraine for political reasons. The timing only came out after the vote, because people are too smart to buy it.
Here is what I do believe would be helpful for the future. Many jobs have morality codes. I do believe that the president should have a morality code as well. Should he use Twitter/Facebook? I think it would be better sacrificed. Because a president is the most targeted person for criticism. I believe President Trump uses his twitter finger too...
I have read multiple comments from individuals that the Bible is complete and therefore we cannot add anything to it. This is true, I agree that we cannot add any new teaching to it. But it did not say that we were to be readers only of it....we are suppose to be doers of it.
So IMHO....we are to do all that Jesus did, the Apostles, the Prophets and to be disciples of it....and to go out into the world training up more disciples. This includes miracles, healings, casting out demons, prophesies, preaching and teaching and even raising up the dead.
When Jesus said to the disciples in John 16:12 12“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now....
Forgive me if I step on some toes. It's saturday night and I feel like sharing some truths. God decided to withdraw his hand from holding Lucifer (before he sinned). See...Lucifer was only PERFECT because of God and God holding him in perfection. God is perfect, Just and Holy! Lucifer was perfect in every way. Then God gave him free reign over his conscious. Free to choose and do as he would like. Lucifer became prideful. Lucifer said, "Let us become LIKE God." Notice, Lucifer knew no one could ever become better than God. So he settled, "Let us become Like God." This was unforgivable. No chances of ever returning to God's perfect Love and Grace. We know the rest of the story. God already knew what was gonna happen and was gonna...
Lets compare one verse, 1 John 4:3:
NIV - but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
RSV - and every spirit which does not confess Jesus is not of God. This is the spirit of antichrist, of which you heard that it was coming, and now it is in the world already.
ASV and every spirit that confesseth not Jesus is not of God: and this is the spirit of the antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it cometh; and now it is in the world already.
KJV - And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is...
Below, is a copied excerpt from a book I happen to think every Christ Follower should have read. This small section contains some important warnings.
Careful attention to details and to the overall movement of a narrative and its context are necessary if its full meaning is to be obtained. What is implicit can be every bit as significant as what is explicit.
Implicit does not mean secret! You will get into all sorts of trouble if you try to find meanings in the text that you think God has “hidden” in the narrative. That is not at all what is meant by implicit. Implicit means that the message is capable of being understood from what is said, though it is not stated in so many words....
Matthew 17:20 He replied, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
Matthew 13:31-32 He told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. 32. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches."
What is the mustard seed, and why?
