One of the most critical and increasingly neglected virtues in the Body of Christ today is discernment. Discernment is not negativity. It is not suspicion. It is not fear-driven criticism or spiritual arrogance. Biblical discernment is the God-given ability to distinguish truth from error, spirit from flesh, and light from darkness, according to the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is not an optional trait for a few; it is a mandate for the entire Ekklesia.
Hebrews 5:14 tells us, "But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil."
Discernment is not a gift reserved for elite Believers; it is the fruit of spiritual maturity. A Be;iever without discernment remains vulnerable, unstable, and easily influenced.
Discernment serves several essential purposes in the life of the Believer and the Church:
• It protects sound doctrine (1 Timothy 4:16).
• It reveals good fruit vs. bad fruit. (Matthew 7:16–20).
• Paul warned the Church that a lack of discernment would result in Believers being "tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine." (Ephesians 4:14
• It enables Believers to walk wisely in a deceptive age (Colossians 1:9–10).
2 Corinthians 3:18 - "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit."
The Believer you are discipling should be bearing fruit, moving from glory to glory in his own ministry. If you have no ministry, how do you move from glory to glory? There is no real unity without properly equipped believers -- unity is the effect -- believers moving from glory to glory is the cause.
Unity is not what we should be working on, since there is no real unity of the Body of Christ without properly equipped believers.
Religion has created roadblocks to the manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit in believers.
Modern Christianity -- offers a comfortable life of living into themselves under the guise of being religious.
2 Timothy 1:7 - "for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."

It infected the Israelites to such a degree that they forgot the signs and wonders (Exodus 14:11). Suddenly they saw themselves as just people again - - not people with whom God dwells, but just people. Satan will get you into a natural rather than a supernatural perspective -- that you are just a natural person.
That's why you need to think with the mind of Christ. Affirm and meditate on His Word continually. Speak it to your problems...and watch faith rise up. Then you'll have the right perspective and victory will be yours!
Mark 11:23 - " Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him."
