Here we would like to return to one of our earlier questions specifically,
How the resurrection of judgement will commence, how will it be carried out, the general order of it?
Now from our study thus far we understand that in the preliminary stages it will begin with the “holy remnant” of Israel, that they will be dealt with first and brought to a measure of recuperation (recovery from the fall) before then proceeding on to the rest of the living generation (the survivors of Armageddon) from amongst the other nations, the gentile nations.
This recovery (resurrection blessings) will continue for a time in order that the world should be prepared for the awakening of those who sleep in the dust of the earth, remember the world has just gone through the greatest time of trouble ever since there was a nation, the people have just witnessed the complete destruction of the old order of things and are only now coming to terms as to what will be required of them under the new order, the kingdom of righteousness.
Not only this, but the physical earth itself has just gone through one of the most traumatic events ever recorded in history, not merely as displayed by the wrath of men, as they employed their destructive natures against one another, but the scriptures suggest that several of the biggest natural destructive events the world has ever encountered will take place during this time, viz. earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic events and etc. as the once cursed earth prepares itself to become paradise restored.
Given sufficient time for the living generation to adjust the next step would naturally be preparation for the arrival of those who sleep in the dust.
How shall they be awakened and in what order?
The Scriptures inform us that God as an order to things and as this relates to one thing so to another, the first will be last and the last will be first, so too in the resurrection those of the sleepers who went down into death most recently (those who perished during Armageddon and or just prior to it) will be the first to come up, while those who went down first will be the last to come up. Now it is presumed that as father Adam was the first man brought to life that he would be the last man brought to life, but if the order is based on who entered the grave first there were quite a few who died prior to him, most notably his son Abel. But of course we are only speculating here, God has His own way of doing things and we will leave it at that.
If you take the time to ponder this applying our God given ability to reason things out, this idea is the most logical method. As each generation is raised they in turn prepare the way for the next. Imagine for a moment if this were not the preferred method that individuals all throughout history were being brought back sporadically. Being raised from the dead is shock enough, but with the added shock of being raised into a century not you’re on and without family and friends to welcome and comfort you it would prove far too much for most. With this in mind we can readily see why the Lord’s method is the best method chosen.
Based on the Scriptures it appears that the awakening of the world will be in response to the prayers of their friends and family, their loved ones who precede them in the resurrection process. Those in the right condition of heart would naturally be especially interested in praying for such as were their own acquaintances or relatives.
As for how things will precede and what will be required of those who will obtain to a complete resurrection by or through judgement (a complete restoration to human perfection) we believe we can provide no better explanation than that which was given in The Parable of the Sheep and the Goats, which please see, this study covers all the various aspects and requirements of mankind during the millennial age.
