Hello everyone. I wanted to take an opportunity to share some words with you. I was on the daunting task the other day of having to drop the kiddos off at the in-laws one day and saw a marquee for a church that spoke about a journey vs a walk. That got me thinking... Do we see our walk with God as a stroll or a journey?
I guess it has to do with your spiritual maturity. Are you strolling or are your bags packed, boots laced, and weather gear ready? The journey will be easy sometimes and it's easy to have faith. When the road gets rough are you strong enough to keep the faith and trust God will carry you? At times I find myself facing the same situation. It is easy to stroll along and whistle when things are going well. But when life seems to not be on my side I have to step back and as the Lord for guidance. This is the time to really decide what to do about your emotions. I get angry. It happens. But I manage it. I let that fuel my faith in God that He has presented me with a situation and He wants me to have faith in Him that I will overcome it.
After that, the rough road becomes the easy journey. I have seen this in my life so many times. Quite a bit recently if you read my post about divorce. Yes, my friends, things are grim on that front but God is at the wheel. It's been a rough journey but my boots are laced and my weather gear is on. I will follow God through the storm and will walk towards that break in the clouds.
