Born again Christians DO NOT USE psychotropic drugs OF ANY KIND.

Here are some examples of psychotropic drugs:

Caffeine (coffee, decaffeinated coffee, tea, caffeinated soda, energy drinks, chocolate, etc).

Alcohol (wine, beer, or ANY OTHER SOURCE, including flavor extracts and cough syrup).

Psychiatric medication (ANY OF THEM).

Nicotine (cigaretts, gum, patches, chew or any other form of tobacco).

Narcotic pain killers (morphine, fentanyl, oxycodone, hydrocodone, etc).

Anxiety medication (Xanax, Ativan, etc).

Traditional drugs (cannabis, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, mushrooms, LSD, MDMA, etc).

----------

Born again Christians KNOW that using psychotropic drugs IS A SIN known as "works of the flesh":

----------

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:16-21

In Galatians 5:20, the greek word used for "witchcraft" is "pharmakeia" - the use of medicine, drugs or spells.

----------

ALL born again Christians have this written in their hearts already - ONLY FAKE CHRISTIANS USE PSYCHOTROPIC DRUGS; if you see a so called "Christian" drinking coffee or cola, or smoking a cigarette, you can rest assured knowing that they are a FAKE CHRISTIAN -- that the Holy Spirit of God DOES NOT LIVE INSIDE THEM.

The only exception to this, is someone that has only RECENTLY became born again; over a SHORT time, almost ALL of those that have been born again will STOP consuming caffeine, alcohol, and all other psychotropic drugs - God's Holy Spirit WILL NOT ALLOW IT.

If a born again Christian continues to use psychotropic drugs, God will 100% DESTROY THEM AND SEND THEM TO HELL!

----------

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17

----------

If you disagree with anything that I said, it's because you're NOT born again - God's Holy Spirit does NOT live inside you, and when you die, you'll go directly to Hell.

You must STOP SINNING - DO what The Lord Jesus Christ tells you to do, or go to the Lake of Fire!

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Luke 6:46

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

James 1:22

Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

Proverbs 13:13

----------

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Hebrews 5:9

----------

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 7:15-23

----------

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Ezekiel 18:4

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

Isaiah 58:1

Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

Stop sinning, or go to the Lake of Fire...

If using wine for your frequent stomach ailments is not drunkenness (for Paul told Timothy to partake of a little wine for medicinal purposes), then using a little medicine for a psychiatric problem is not pharmakeia.

Drunkenness is in the same list as witchcraft.

Timothy would not have been condemned for obeying what Paul told him to do in 1 Timothy 5:23.

In my own life, psychiatric medicines have been forced on me. And I have not been able to escape the mental health system.

My response has been to pray for Jesus to transmute my medicine so that it is not pharmakeia, even as He transmuted the water into wine.

Since it is more likely for Him to actually do this than for the mental health system to allow me to go free from the vice grip that it has on me, I believe that Jesus is indeed answering my prayer.

If you use any psychotropic drugs (legal or not) including alcohol, you will go to Hell.

"Judge not, that ye be not judged.
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." Matt 7:1-7

"I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps." Jerem. 10:23

@Mitch Etling Are you not also a man? Are you walking ahead of the Lord instead of meekly and humbly obediently following Him? Are you not also fallible? Have you already overcome the world as Jesus did?

Alcohol and drugs alter the mind to produce poor decision-making. Caffeine has the opposite effect; it sharpens the mind.

Are you really distinguishing caffeine from every other recreational drug?

Caffeine is a stimulant. It is still a recreational drug that needs to be used responsibly.

Drugs have different effects. Alcohol can sharpen one socially by bypassing misguided inhibitions.

Of course one should be wise with drug use. Many drugs should not be used at all, and some that may be recommended require more monitoring than others. And addiction often concerns coveting, so sin does come into it.

Alcohol, used appropriately, is a good drug. It's not for everyone, but Yahweh judges it to be a good thing.

As for other drugs, it's best to go on a case by case basis. One simple rule I have though is to avoid anything artificial, whether this be medicinal or recreational. Beyond this it's complicated and varies based on the individual.

For John the Baptist came neither eating nor drinking and you said look, he is possessed by a demon. And the son of man came eating and drinking, and you said look, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of sinners. But wisdom is proven right by all her children.
