The Word of Faith is based on FALSE promises by FALSE preachers who are some day going to be held accountable for the lies they have told against God. The Word of Faith/Prosperity gospel is one that belongs to satan not Christ.

IS WORD OF FAITH, FAITH-BASED OR TITHE-BASED?

Not all are the same, a Christian average Joe may go on a missionary trip speak several words of faith and many get healed.

Where as some Prosperity preacher may keep demanding tithes, tithes and more tithes.

Totally agreed. WOF church was my 1st experience outside a Catholic church. Did not take me long at all to see what they were doing and it was NOT in the bible! Certainly not the way they make it sound. And boy will they ever pay!

I think "Word of Faith" gets thrown around and gets misused.

When we look these 3 words "Word of Faith" what does it really mean???

Yes people have definitely strayed from the real meaning, but have a look at those 3 words closely though.

When done according to God's will, "the Word of Faith" is a very powerful thing.

And there are multiple examples in the words written in red. And also in other parts of the Bible. I guess we could also say there were also "The Acts of Faith."

This is why it is so good that we are found in Christ and being in our bibles daily . So as we truly do learn and grow .
There are many deceivers . You shall know them by their fruits .
Jesus Himself warned not to heap and steap up things upon this earth . That is a huge reminder .
For the Wof preachers are some of the wealthiest ones upon this earth .
Let us look to Christ on how to serve and how to live . And JESUS did not keep what was put in the bag and live better than the rest
of his own , from that bag . Ponder that . Everyone had as they needed. Jesus did not have two chairots
He simply walked as they did , concerning the bag . Any pastor should live no better off than his own flock .
There should be a heart to look out for the others above even his own self . Not to mention
i watched kenneth himself also say , He had to tell GOD to move the SON out of His way , SO HE , kenneth , Could get the job done .
Talk about pride . and blasphemy too .

All i know is it is not JESUS based . IF their faith was truly in HIM , why do they love that money so . Why do they heap up and store up .
Its not faith IN Christ . For if our faith is in Him we follow and trust HIM . Thus we would love all His sayings.

IF we want a true and pure example of how to live , JESUS IS OUR EXAMPLE .
IN all things . So let us be learning Him well in the bible . And learning all sound doctrine , the words of the apostels
and all sound doctrine .

I absolutely agree with you... but when I hear of or state Word of Faith/Prosperity gospel.. I am talking about what America has made of Christianity... they are all over television... and they have been growing for the last 50 years or so...

You are talking something totally different... Your version is biblical.

I remember it was on forums a number of years the first time I had heard of this 'movement', "Word of faith". The people that spoke of it did not explain what it was. To them it was simply they way they believed and lived..."for God". but they did not really know [it seemed to me] much about God and His Way as I understand it? It was a very long for me before the connection was made between that "Word of faith" label and what is named "Prosperity gospel". People often use words or labels without providing definition and speak nonsense to many hearers.

The lack of understanding on the part of people supporting these things causes confusion among others who hear the fragments of messages given by supporters of the movements. Newbies to forums and to the Lord may be especially susceptible.

Below is the one place in the NT [KJV] where I found the precise phrase "word of faith":

"But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Rom 10:8-9

In the following writings of Paul someone may also pull out such meanings as per the Prosperity gospel supporters:

"But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;" I Cor 12:7-8

What are these things? What does Paul mean? It seems some men have defined them in their own ways?

Remember when one of those prosperity preachers promised that anyone who sells their land and home and donates it for the gospel, would get back a hundredfold return of houses and lands?

Oh, wait .... I forgot.... that was Jesus who promised that:

Mar 10:29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,

Mar 10:30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Never mind....

Dear @Addy and @Nancy
1. The False teachings involve
A. Commanding and dictating God's will instead of receiving it
B. Judging people by wealth as a sign instead of focusing on spiritual wealth first where any money or resources needed FOLLOW but are NOT a condition or a criterion for judging people by success or failure materially

2. The true teachings are
A. Accepting God's will and blessings with forgiveness and faith without dictating the outcomes, and reaffirming and living true faith (not the conditional expectations that make this false)
B. Teaching abundance mentality, forgiveness and healing/health to others by receiving Christ Jesus and letting that Authority govern our lives and relations

I have seen both BAD false examples of "faith healing" by calling out commands

And I have seen people genuinely teach that God has abundant blessings for all of us and not to be jealous or self defeating by comparing ourselves to others. But accept our own blessings by faith and not worry what it looks like. This is the exact opposite of judging anyone by poverty or by wealth.

I focus more on Christian Spiritual Healing that is the internal and generational process of forgiveness and growth.

The outward results that follow are not ours to dictate, expect or judge from. Just receiving God's will in the fullest, knowing that is greater than we imagine.

Amen!

Jesus provided an example when He asked to have that cup removed here:

"And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt" Matt 26:39

Not the same? Of course it is the same. We should always want God's will for us, and if our will is different than His, we should want Him to help make our will equal to His.

According to what Paul wrote, what does God expect from us? A 10% offering? Try 100%!

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Rom 12:1

Consider what this widow gave!

"And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living." Mark 12:41-44
