More, favorite Psalms, please, ppl! :)
"Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD." Psalms 25:1-7

Psalms 103 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹ (A Psalm of David.) Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
² Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
³ Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
⁴ Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
⁵ Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
⁶ The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
⁷ He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
⁸ The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

I love Psalms...how can I pick one over the other...lol

I have many favourites but today it is Psalm 23.

Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.

I dwell on Your holy hill, Lord Jesus, and abide in Your tent, since You are my righteousness and I carry Your Word in my heart. (Psalm 15:1,2)

LORD, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine. (Psalm 16:5)

The purpose you have given me is a pleasant calling, I have a most excellent heritage. (Psalm 16:6)

I will bless the LORD who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. (Psalm 16:7)

I know Jesus is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is dwelling in me. (Psalm 16:8)

Praise the Lord! Great is my Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite. (Psalm 147:1,5)

¹ (A Psalm of David.) Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

@Heart2Soul Great verse there! :)
I love this thread....
Remember when I was asking how to read Psalms because the Holy Spirit told me to?
I never could get into reading it because it didn't have that flow to it like when reading a book.
Anyway, someone suggested singing them..so I tried it and it worked!
I gained so much hope and comfort through them....and I learned how to earnestly praise and worship God and how to have a heart of repentance... David was a good teacher...he led by example:)

@Heart2Soul The Psalms were originally indeed intended to be sung. (Some churches still do.)

I thought, months back, this would be a good subject for a thread (or was it years back? I started so many threads...)
