If you are a Christian; a Christian who seeks to worship in spirit and in truth. You must understand that the walk is actually not as easy as you may believe; there are times where there is rejoicing but then there are times when you are faced on how will you react… by your own understanding and ways when you are pressured and pent up in between a hard place… or reacting in faith.

Our own ways are to lash out at another person, to be extremely mean, hateful, even despise them, and demean and mock them.

When these situations come up in your life this above is one way to act.

Then there is the second way by the spirit which is not apart of our own ways; but of the heavenly ways.

To have kindness, to have peace, to have mercy, to have forgiveness, to have joy, to have long suffering towards others, to have forbearance, to have love.

It is easy to say you are a Christian. It’s much harder to walk as one allowing the spirit of Christ to flow you, whom will perform good works in your despite the pent up pressure of whatever situation it is.

Love is given freely from God; it can be given freely through us by the spirit; not everyone is going to love you back and that should be expected.

What is the 'easy' road to God?

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matt11:28-30

The flesh will fight! How strongly it will fight! We just have to remember, it has no power over us. All it can do is shriek and lie and lie and lie.

Much love!

The hardest work of all I've found is to enter into His rest.

That is the easy part, the first step. Holiness comes from a time in the wilderness, anyone who is his son He will chasten, it is during this chastening that you begin to see his love and the riches of His grace he has to offer those who draw near to him.

He gives us rest as we take up our cross daily, and follow Him.

It’s not easy. It’s difficult.
"It is hard to live for God easy, but easy to live for God hard."
The brother who won me to the Lord very many years ago told me that and I have never forgotten it.

The hard ways that people find themselves walking are due primarily to trying to ride the fence between God's Way and the ways of the world.

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." Matt 6:24

"I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." Rev 3:15-16

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." I John 2:15-16

Jesus was sent to us among other things to provide a better easier Way to approach God closely. However God never removed from us our ability to choose mammon instead of Him... and very many believers at time do exactly that and thus: the difficulty!

Nothing is hard for God, but when we quench the Holy Spirit within ourselves, God is limited. How much we we really love Him? How much do we still love mammon?

Matthew you are right on here. Being and serving the Lord in Spirit and being in the flesh is bound to cause collisions, hardships and down periods in life. If someone tells you differently, I would question their honesty.

I would like to share a recent interview of a person now 83 years old, who played in the 'old' Mission Impossible movies...Jon Voight, a conservative, actor and I believe a Christian...here's what he said about a segment of his life....

----------------

The full conversation on "Tucker Carlson Today" on FOX Nation, but here's part of it.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JON VOIGHT, ACTOR: I was in a lot of trouble at one point. I had a divorce, had some problems, and I was in this little house that I had. And I was really suffering for many reasons. My career was a little bit in flux at that time and lots of things were going on -- my relationship to my kids and my wife and stuff.

And I was on the floor, I found myself on the floor saying, "It's so difficult, it's so difficult." I said it out loud and I heard in my ear, "It's supposed to be difficult." Can you imagine? Can you imagine --

CARLSON: Like a separate voice telling you that.

VOIGHT: Yes. "It's supposed to be difficult." A voice of wisdom, kindness, you know clarity. I mean, it had so much resonance this voice.

CARLSON: What a message? It's supposed to be difficult.

VOIGHT: It's supposed to be difficult. Can you imagine? I mean this -- and I went boom, "What?" And I got up and I can tell you, Tucker, that moment in time, at that time, I knew. I said, you know what it meant was I'm not alone.

CARLSON: Yes.

VOIGHT: Everything is known. Everything is known. I am known. That's what it meant to me. Whoa. This is --

CARLSON: Did you expect it? Were you calling out for God?

VOIGHT: Did I expect it? No. Not out. Now, I have to proceed with my life, right? But I felt tremendous energy. It is something -- somebody is rooting for me. It's like don't give up. It's like, you know there's a purpose here. You know, you've got some ways -- you got a ways to go, son. You know what I'm saying?

Whatever it -- whatever you might imagine it meant, it meant. Do you see? And I felt great, whew.

And the next morning, I am not a person who really prays with the idea that anybody is listening up to that moment.

CARLSON: Yes.

VOIGHT: Now, I know we're covered, man. Everything we think, everything we say -- everything. You're known. You know, like they say, that God knows every bird that falls.

CARLSON: Yes.

------------God out Father and his Son, do know all about us, before we wake up to a new day!----------------

That is my comfort, I am loved as I keep on going forward and pray knowing I'm NEVER alone-----------

Bless you,

great post! All of the OP. Makes me think of where He says My ways are not your ways, my thoughts are not your thoughts. I see the above in myself and can feel it rising up in me “to be extremely mean, hateful, even despise them, and demean and mock them.”

then there is “To have kindness, to have peace, to have mercy, to have forgiveness, to have joy, to have long suffering towards others, to have forbearance, to have love.” …the Fruit (Work) of the Spirit which maybe is what makes it light as He is able to do the impossible.

It’s not easy. It’s difficult.

Not only difficult…impossible without God.

further thoughts on the above.

1) James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
^that is scary. Matthew 21:28-31 But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. [29] He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. [30] And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. [31] Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

Again, Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
…I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.
I go, sir: and went not.

1 Corinthians 8:11-12 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? [12] But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

Not only difficult…impossible without God.
Indeed which agrees with what Jeremiah wrote here:
"O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps." Jerem 10:23

So then God sent His Son to open up the closed Way and to provide all of the necessary help through His Spirit to make it possible to accomplish the impossible:

"And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." Mark 10:27

"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" Col 1:27
