1 Cor. 7:2, "Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband."

This is God's Word which is the only stated reason for Christians to become married, "to avoid fornication."

In error, Christians confidently and boastfully come up with the following falsehoods for their marriage:

1.) "We just feel like the Lord has amazingly prepared and brought us together in love!"

2.) "We feel very called to each other that we are to use our marriage as a means of glorifying the Lord!"

3.) "We have so much in common, and share so deeply in our faith, we cannot imagine marrying anyone else!"

4.) "We grew up together, and have always known we were meant to be one."

5.) "We just compliment each other and fit so very well!"

6.) "We meet each other's needs."

7.) "We want to raise up a Godly family unto the Lord."

None of these reasons for getting married are found in Scripture. The only one given in the New Testament is "to avoid fornication."

"And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?" Matt 19:4-5

"Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD." Prov 18:22

This past June my wife and I celebrated 49 years of marriage. Counting down the days on the final year to complete 50 years together. God joined us together in accord with His will...

Paul stated remaining unmarried allows better service to God.

1 Cor. 17:32-33, "He that is unmarried cares for the things that belong unto the Lord, how he may please the Lord. But he that is married cares for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife."

Pity those men in the trap of marriage.

Was the Genesis 2:18 statement about marriage made before Eve sinned, while she was still useful? Yes. After Eve sinned, all women became what they are today.

I don't suppose you can even grasp the concept that God's perfect plan is not contingent upon or altered by the actions of man?
What you can only "suppose" is easily superceded by knowing God's perfect plan is indeed altered by Man's sin.

God used the unintended rejection of Jesus by the Jews to form His Church in the Gentiles.

In plain perception, a principled statement to honor God, rather than some spurious curiosity.

you brought it up and the question is relevant to the subject yet you waffle, evade and obfuscate.

that seems to be your MO- long on word and short on depth.

Are you able to say what you think I am evading? I am not sure what you are talking about.
