Back about 12 years ago, I attended Celebrate Recovery programs at 3 different churches. One was sterile, and rigid, and adhered to rules like not hugging or comforting someone when they were sharing about their issues. But the other two were more like church services with a fellowship and support system afterwards. They both opened with a prayer service and worship ....they were wonderful and focused on Christ as our help. A lot of people were helped and came out of their addictions. I believe it depends on the groups and where their focus is ...not the program.

My involvement with Celebrate Recovery was one of the most controlling and abusive experiences of my life. IMO, it is cultish.

My recovery from spiritual darkness was PERFECT . in my opinion its the only recovery plan that works .
Praise GOD for when he drew me to JESUS . My sorrow is for over ninety eight or more percent
of folks in churches who THINK they have the same recovery program i did . THAT ONE IS CULTISH and it leadeth to the second death .
The one KEY name that both groups have , IS THEY USE THE NAME OF JESUS . But only one group wins . THEONE
that preaches the biblical JESUS . I never seen such a delusion sucking in folks by the masses . Truman
we better all know we follow THE ONE TRUE JESUS , caus another jesus aint saving squat . NOR does any other religoin , any other path .
I am standing only the hope i know , and THE ONLY HOPE THERE IS , JESUS . ONLY we better KNOW JESUS and not jesus , aka some other jesus .

Everything I've needed is in the bible and the Holy Spirit. It is not all in the 12-steps.

too often folks are fast to just put one on ignore . But we should ask questions . Our first mission should be for their good .
If they dont and wont receive truth , THEN we do what is needed .
So i do have a good scenario , a question for you as well my friend .
I want you to pray first before answering .
What if one comes preaching a JESUS that says , EVEN IF ONE DENIES ME THEY GETTING ETERNAL LIFE .
WOULD you agree or disagree with that . NOW Do remember what the biblical JESUS said , not men say .
Our emotions and feelings can often get in the way of truth . SO i am asking you to remember what JESUS said
and the actions of all the apostels who actually turned the world UPSIDE DOWN for A REASON .
Well now i have another question for you , HOW COME THE TRUE APOSTLES DID EVERYTHING and RISKED ALL
to get the GOSPEL OF TRUTH OUT . THERE IS A REASON TRUMAN . IT relates to the first question as well .
