Wrong. Just another invention of a corrupt cult.
Right. So as I said, Peter was urging men to repent and be baptised, not children.
I was christened as a baby, which I have no memory of. I was in my thirties when I was baptised. It has to be a personal descision to believe in Jesus and God, and to consecrate yourself to God and serve Him and Jesus, and to declare that faith by being baptised.
Mary is blessed.
So is everyone else who does God's will (Luke 11:27-28).
End of story.
Set your eyes on Jesus where they belong.
"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith" Hebrews 12:2
I think it is the Johovah Witnesses that think Jesus was merely a highly appointed man in God's service.God is with us, in fact He sent Jesus as evidence of that fact. Jesus said I am as many others have just as insignificantly as when you and I say it. Jesus was and is the Word, God's spokesman, and yes he was made flesh as the Bible teaches, a historical fact. Jesus said very clearly that He, Jehovah, and all future Christians are one, not the same being of course, but one in the faith. Jn 17:20-24
I think it is the Johovah Witnesses that think Jesus was merely a highly appointed man in God's service.
I won't argue the point. Jesus was God, the word made flesh who dwelt among us. When the people saw Jesus they saw God. That's what God said of himself.
All else that denies Jesus divinity, is error.

Feel free to consult your favorite lexicon. However, a cult, by definition, is a group who worship a man as God.
really
It comes from the Latin cultus meaning simply a following
Verse 31. Man = ἀνήρ (anēr)God is with us, in fact He sent Jesus as evidence of that fact. Jesus said I am as many others have just as insignificantly as when you and I say it. Jesus was and is the Word, God's spokesman, and yes he was made flesh as the Bible teaches, a historical fact. (Act 2:39) For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far off, even as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”why does he say explicitly “this promise is to you’re children “???????
Let's look at that:Faith and baptism! Mk 16:16 acts 8:36-38
1 Peter 3:21 (WEB): This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you—not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,1 Pet 3:20
21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us!
(Ark of Noah a type of the church, member of Christ and his church and salvation by baptism!)
mary is the mother of God
Lk 1:43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
Lk 1:26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
Lk 1: 45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
Lk 1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.
so the Lord is the Lord God almighty!
Proving the divinity of Jesus Christ!
I think it is the Johovah Witnesses that think Jesus was merely a highly appointed man in God's service.
I won't argue the point. Jesus was God, the word made flesh who dwelt among us. When the people saw Jesus they saw God. That's what God said of himself.

BTW, Christians are not under the New Covenant. That's another topic though, so I'll start a new thread about that - see Christians are not under the New Covenant.Faith and baptism is the biblical initiation into the new covenant and member is Christ and His holy church!
Verse 31. Man = ἀνήρ (anēr)
Strong: G435
GK: G467
a male person of full age and stature, as opposed to a child or female, 1 Cor. 13:11; a husband, Mt. 1:16; a man, human being, individual, Lk. 11:31; used also pleonastically with other nouns and adjectives, Lk. 5:8; Acts 1:16
Goes along with John 1:14 (God) The Word made flesh and dwelt among us.
Everybody knows Christ's physical body came from Mary. And this one?
mary is the mother of God
(Act 2:39) For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far off, even as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”
Peter was saying that the promise was to the men he was talking to and to their descendents - to people far away in distance and in time.
Let's look at that:
Mark 16:16) He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.
A baby can't believe - it can't even speak or understand any language. You have to believe first and then choose to be baptised. Christening is not sufficient.
1 Peter 3:21 (WEB): This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you—not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
A baby can't have a good conscience toward God. It's only an understanding and believing person that can then choose to be baptised. It says that baptism can save you, so if you haven't been baptised then you should get baptised as soon as you can!
Everybody knows Christ's physical body came from Mary.
That makes her his earthly mother.
So what?
Stop idolizing humans.
Worshipping Mary is.explaining a doctrine is not idolatry
