@FluffyYellowDuck Yes, well, by grace it's a matter of letting the wholesome habit of prayer and Bible study replace the grossness.....
I can imagine that would work.

I don't know what dating is like anymore, but I don't really believe in it. "Better to marry than to burn with passion," or if you're me, you pick up 2837492 hobbies and then you keep doing that until you shrivel up like Spongebob on dry land.

This forum is like the Hotel California. You can check out anytime you can like, but you can never leave!

I have been here over a decade and several people (including myself) have at times wanted to delete their account. But let me suggest something to you: you don't really want your account deleted. Ecclesiastes 12:13. Hear the conclusion of the whole matter.

If you delete your account, your posts, thoughts and character through those posts will stay. They are part of threads and even if your posts are deleted, quotes of your posts will remain. You were here and nothing can change that. BUT if you delete your account then your user name is available to use.

See a potential problem with that?

Why... I could start an account with your username and post how much I like wearing white after labor day, endorse kicking puppies and claim the Church of Fonzie is real! Ayeeeee! I could also claim the Brady Bunch was a more philosophical and better sitcom than MASH. And I could even claim that its perfectly ok to double dip in a jar of peanut butter when you have roommates. And all that would be attached to you and your reputation as a former member.

Or worse.

Do you still want your account deleted?

Why did this trigger a memory in my head of Radar looking all sad and watching a helicopter leave?
My wife always loved Radar! When we were about 15 mile out in the country once we lost our Internet and our satellite TV connection for a long period of time. I had previously recorded DVDS of a few years of MASH episodes. In the evenings when I came home from work we would watch a lot of MASH to pass the time.

I remember Radar O'Reilly as well as a postage stamp collector since the fellow who played the character of Radar [Gary Burghoff] collected stamps. I started myself when I was about 8 years old. Me and Radar! @Triumph1300

Haha! I haven't watched MASH since I was probably 12 years old. It is a huge blur!

I remember Radar being my favorite character, though.

I haven't watched it in a very long time now. I have been retired from secular work for over 20 years and it was already old when I retired. While I have over a thousand old movies on DVD, the MASH episodes got lost somewhere along the way.

One should never jump onto a forum and assume everyone is either a troll or a wolf in sheep's clothing just based on a misunderstanding or disagreement. Perhaps some patience is a good idea. Step back, take a breath and ask God to give you eyes to see.

@amadeus ,@Rita, @Heart2Soul, @farouk, @FHII and @FluffyYellowDuck.

I’ve prayed about it and I am staying. How could I turn away from you guys.
Nobody wants to be known as a double dipper (that’s just savage).
From now on, I’ll be more selective in regards to whom I reply (Who/whom - Any help?).
Thanks for all the great advice.

Glad you are staying. I've been off a month or so and been back on recently. Breaks are good... Welcome.

Hello, how does one delete their account on here?

You don’t.

they don’t allow it.

many sites don’t allow it.

like on Facebook, we can ‘delete ‘ our account , but it goes nowhere…it just doesn’t show any more.
…they keep it dormant but our info never dies.

Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them.

Titus 3:10-11

This is my remedy. If I have said what needs to be said, and it isn't heard then I don't need to exhaust myself trying to say it more.

And sometimes I (often) need to accept that I'm wrong and that's good, because I'm continuously growing and learning.

We can have peace with a person that we don't agree with, their mind is not our responsibility, and if they are way, way over the top then go ahead and hit then the ignore button.

I remain involved all the time with my stamps although I have had to change my emphasis recently. The stamp club is shutting down their sales division. I have been selling stamps through them for years.

I still have a whole lot of Dutch Indies as well as Canadian if you are interested [PM if you are]. After collecting more than 60 years my efforts to sell for the past 10 has made a dent in few countries but not in those two.

One should never jump into a forum and assume that people are calling other people trolls without careful consideration. I don’t think everyone are trolls, but I have meet a few here.
Don’t ever assume that there are no trolls in an online community, it’s like turning the blind eye to something.
I don’t think amadeus, FluffyYellowDuck, Heart2Soul, farouk, FHII or Rita are trolls.
That label I only put on people who purposely misrepresent other’s opinions or people only up to provoke others.
