Need To Ask! RE: Thanks giving!

Coming from the opposite side of the world who does not celebrate thanksgiving....How do you celebrate this holiday tradition in your part of the world???

I used to make my parents a turkey dinner or visit family. Guys would yell at the football on TV.

Today I'm just cleaning. I have a lot of work to do and maybe I'll do some turkey Hungry Man dinners and maybe watch Christmas with the Kranks.

I like that one.

Someone suggested, "We need to do this every month instead of just once a year."

My reply was, "Yeah, that would be nice. Up until about six months from now when nobody can get up from the table anymore."

I take back what I said earlier and as it turns out nothing... And it is bad.

Anyway...

When I was a kid we made turkeys out of butter on a school field trip to another school (where they made me talk to people)

Bunch of kids on a school field trip driving for maybe an hour in a heated bus all holding melted butter turkeys.

I took it, but I still have the glorious Lord. Not endorsing it and against the mandates, but the fear is gone. I'm over covid. LOL. I am so thankful for this too. And it isn't the vaccine of why I am not afraid. It is more knowing where I stand with it which is important and just being able now to rest with confident assurance that God has this in His hands.

I believe the Pilgrims tied their identity to the ancient Israelites and early Christians; i.e. being Pilgrims to this world, hence their strict morality.
