My over all convulsion of these verses are this : The ministry of death and condemnation was when Moses brought forth the Ten Commandments because no person could ever live them perfectly. For all people had made mistakes, and that is still know to us today. We know we still make mistakes still today.

The Ten Commandments where holy and glorious and even the Israelites when receiving them could not gaze even at Moses face because of its glory. Which was being brought to an end. How?

Because Jesus was fulfilling them completely, He lived perfectly and sinless. So he is bringing forth the ministry of the Spirit which has more glory than the former, by fulfilling those commandments.

Putting and end to the ministry of condemnation bringing forth the ministry of righteousness which exceeds the former, and the prior beings no glory to the flesh at all. So no one can say I do this I’m better than you. The new glory and ministry is the righteousness of Christ and the spirit.

Which when we abide in Christ we do not sin because Jesus within you can not cause you to sin when you live by the Holy Spirit given.

The ministry of death was just that. Moses gave commands to kill any who failed at certain commandments. Something they did up to the time of Jesus when they were about to stone the whore to death. The important thing to note here in the difference of ministries is that now we are patient and teach and exhort the sinner to repentance and instead of killing them we give them time to repent and be saved.

In 2 Corinthians chapter three, Paul says the apostles are the ministers of the new covenant and the law of the Spirit that gives life, which he compares with the ten commands, given to Moses on the mountain, that brings death..


The Ten Commands are called the ministration of DEATH, the letter which KILLS, and the ministration of CONDEMNATION.

The reason the Ten commands kills, brings death, and condemnation, and has been done away, is due to the fact that the penalty under the law for breaking any of the Ten, was being put to death by stoning.


The penalty for homicide - being put to death by stoning:

Exo 21:12 He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.


The penalty for not honoring your mother and father: put to death by stoning:

Lev 20:9 For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.


The penalty for adultery: put to death by stoning:

Lev 20:10 And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.


The penalty for breaking the sabbath by doing any work, such as picking up sticks for kindling: put to death by stoning:

Exo 31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is Holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth anywork therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.


If the Ten Commands are still in effect, the penalty for breaking them is still in effect, thus those who insist on keeping the ended covenant that contained the Ten Commands, are breaking the law themselves, by not stoning to death those who break the commands.

In the new covenant, the two love commands supersedes the old ten.

Bestr way I heard it preached. the law was never designed to save a soul. Paul showed that the law makes sin even more sinful. No, the law was given to drive Israel to Jesus and gentiles who think living a religious life will save them to convinct them they can never be saved by adherence to the law.

Paul told us the law was a schoolmaster to lead us to faith. Now that faith is here we don't need a school master. The law does work death, faith works life!

The law defines and empowers sin in our lives!

Not just that, but they are also trying to remove God's laws from Christian society to create chaos in the streets. The crept in unawares, or tares, are not the true Jews that still reject Lord Jesus. The crept in unawares are of the leftover Canaanites from Old Testament history, that's one group of them.

Something further you should look into about the Jews. In Revelation 2:9 and Revelation 3:9, Jesus pointed to those of the "synagogue of Satan" who SAY they are Jews, but lie and are not. That means within Judah the 'crept in unawares' crept in and became religious Jews.

That creeping in began when the children of Israel were led out of captivity in Egypt to the promised lands (see Judges 2 and Judges 3). God told the children of Israel then to not take wives of the people of that land, the Canaanites, and per Deuteronomy 20, to literally destroyed certain nations of the Canaanites. The children of Israel failed God's commandment, and He said He would leave those foreigners among Israel to test them with, to see if they would follow Him, or not. Those crept in have been among Israel ever since, even today. See Joshua 9 about a specific situation in his day with their sneaking into to dwell with Israel.

Those Canaanite leftovers then became bondservants to Israel (1 Kings 9:20-21).

After a while, those bondservant leftovers of the Canaanites became temple servants, helpers to the Levites who had responsibility to cut the wood for the Altar, and such. Per God's commandments though, no foreigner was to supposed to be allowed in that part of the temple. Those became known as Nethinims (given to temple service). In Ezra 2, we are shown a genealogy of the family of Nethinims that went captive with the "house of Judah" to Babylon for 70 years, and were returning with the remnant of Jews after that, back to Jerusalem. In Ezra 2:58-62, we are shown their genealogy could not be found that they were of the seed of Israel. Along with those returning Nethinims are mentioned priests whose genealogy could not be found among the seed of Israel. Thus some of the Canaanites had also crept into the Israelite priesthood while in Babylon.

Another people of the nations of Canaan that crept into Israel were the Kenites (Genesis 15:19). In 1 Chronicles 2:55, we are shown the Kenites became the scribes of Israel that dwelt at the city of Jabez. More about them is shown in Jeremiah 35. Per 1 Chronicles 4, Jabez is mentioned within the genealogy of the tribe of Judah, however his genealogy is not shown at all there. It's like God wants us to recognize this creeping in without completely exposing it to the wicked. Do you remember the Jabez Prayer fad that happened many years ago? Jabez prayed for wealth, and God granted it to him. The main point about these Kenites is how as 'scribes' among Israel, it was their job to keep copies of God's Word from generation to generation. Is it any wonder that some of those scribes were aligned with the crept in unaware Pharisees that sought to murder Lord Jesus? (Matthew 20:18)

Even in Ezra 9, with the returning remnant of Jews back to Jerusalem from their 70 years Babylon captivity, Ezra is told that the people (Israel) have taken wives of the Canaanites, and had children by them, the princes and rulers being chief in this trespass. Ezra called a grand meeting of the people and they agreed to put their Canaanite wives and children away. But did they? No, because it started to rain, and the meeting was split up, and per the last verse of Zechariah 14, it tells only then (after Christ's future return), will the Canaanite no more be in the House of God.

So in the Churches it's the job of preaching The Gospel to all, including those crept in unawares, in hopes that at least some of them might turn to Jesus Christ. Yet still, God's Word reveals the 'tares' are ordained to the condemnation of working against Christ (Jude 1). So we know that even though Christ's Salvation is open to them too IF they will believe on Him, not all of them will, otherwise the purpose for the 'tares' during this world could not happen.
