This letter written by Peter to the Jewish people in the Gentile nations scattered abroad wrote this in the letter to them. It was a reminder that Jesus had died for those who are justified in Christ and those who are unjustified who have yet to believe in Christ.

That because of what Jesus did he might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit. This was mentioned to them because of how Jesus had fulfilled the Laws of Moses, and because of him fulfilling these Laws.

The righteousness of Jesus is what makes a person justified by faith and it is not their own righteousness (we can not make ourselves right with God based on our own merit). It is by His righteousness you become made right with God.

Therefore no one can boast over another person, as though they are better than the other. Jesus fulfilled the old ministry of death, and condemnation that was brought forth from the old commandment laws, that would condemn and make a person weak.

Jesus brought for the ministry of reconciliation, that if one believes in the Gospel of Christ they are made right with God because of the death, burial and resurrection of the Son of God.

Jesus also brought for the ministry of the spirit which speaks about spiritual living, walking by the spirit and not the flesh. The flesh can be prideful, mean, covetous, jealous, be manipulative, hateful, greedy, over all I know in my flesh all these things are capable of being done and understanding that I’m not perfect.

Therefore the ministry of the spirit which is where God places with-in you the Holy Spirit, and the spirit of Christ in which brings forth a holy living different than before and heavenly that resides within you.

Which causes one to have mercy, forgiveness, peace, forbearance, kindness, gentleness, joy, patience with others, and have love to any and all persons, if one walks by that new given spirit which is given by God being justified by faith in the righteousness of Christ.

It’s not our own righteousness: for no one on earth truly is righteous because we all live in this flesh, and the only who was ever righteous was Jesus Christ who lived a perfect sinless life and paid for the sins on our behalf of all of the world. For all people.

Hi MatthewG, the way I look at it is this: Jesus was perfect and could enter into heaven. He made a sacrifice that we might be forgiven by God and allowed to enter into heaven. And he had power to resurrect. Those that are not forgiven are resurrected to damnation. But those he forgives are resurrected to glory. The atonement gave Jesus power to forgive our sins.

John 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Matthew 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Good Job! The only correction is that Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, not just believers and believers to be! Because he became th epropitiation of the worlds sins- He negated any other way one can approach god.

Jesus is truly the greatest man who ever lived. The primary example for us to follow. He set the pattern for us Christians for sure 1 Pet 2:21

It is true that a person cannot earn God's forgiveness through their own effort, but to insinuate that a person is not obligated to obey God's laws is straight out of the mind of Satan himself. Paul was emphatically clear in his letters that Christ's sacrifice can only atone for sins(Rom. 3:31, 1 Cor. 7:19, Rom. 2:13, Rom. 3:28, and Rom. 13:10). In Matt. 7:21, Christ said the only people who will be in the Kingdom are the ones who were doing the will of His Father instead of just reading, thinking, or talking about it. In Matt. 5, Christ said unless a person's own righteousness exceeded the religious leaders' righteousness, they will not be in the Kingdom. Go ahead and read it for yourself in verse 20. Contrary to what millions of deceived "Christians" believe, Jesus did not keep God's laws so no one else would have to. That belief is as illogical as it is satanic!

The same lawless spirit inspiring the Democrats to create a lawless state by leading America away from the U.S. Constitution is behind Protestant and Catholic attempts at leading people away from God's Constitution. "Christians" love to talk about peace, love, forgiveness, and kindness, but none of that means anything because they're talking about doing all those things on a completely superficial level and not on a spiritual level. I have news for you: atheists talk about the same things, and they also believe those things can be accomplished by tossing God's laws to the wayside. Does that make them right with God? Of course it doesn't!

Protestants and Catholics' inability to show this world a proper example of what true Christianity looks like stems from the fact that their religions are absolutely hostile against the laws of God. Just like the Pharisees', these groups put on a show in front of the world about how much they supposedly believe in God and the authority of the scriptures, but the reality is that they refuse to believe God when He says ALL of mankind are to live by EVERY word that came from His mouth!

I don’t care about (religious organizations I do not follow them or keep up with what they do: I love people even if they have a certain religious background), also do not care for politics and the reason being is it doesn’t have a hold in my interest.

Will respect the government authorities, the letters of the Holy Bible, Paul writes how the Romans were to obey the government, even under the rule of Nero.

They were to submit to the authority, of course if this came down to them dismissing their belief they wouldn’t and would suffer persecution either by going to prison or suffering death.

Now when it comes down to the commandments, you see John, write that the commandment was to believe on the Son of God, and love. That was the only two “rules of engagement” that were to be obeyed. Of course the first initiation being Faith.

There is nothing more one has to do, other than have faith, and love God and love others, according to what Jesus had said, including Paul and John. (That doesn’t mean one can not grow in knowledge of God and the Lord — according to Peter who encouraged this).

Yes sir, two of the fruitages Christians display. Jesus gave us that new commandment that John also recorded in his earlier gospel account in chap 13 v 34, 35. Interesting how he said it was a new commandment isn't it Matt.
