When I look with a broad sweep over the last few years I see people going this way and that way, like they’re looking for where to rest or what to lean on and finding nothing but wind. First this is good and right, this person is good and right, that thought is good and right. Then it’s, no, that’s not right , this person isn’t what we thought and hoped, they’re out of favor, cancelled. Now THIS is good and right. Now, THIS person will bring us better days.
It’s painful to watch. People keep putting their hope on different humans like…okay, now YOU lead us out of this mess.
Maybe it’s just always been this way and I didn’t really see it…it reminds me of that flock of murmurating birds caught on video recently. All in unison, they crashed into the ground, a whole huge swarm.

Even though i "follow" you on here, I never get your threads or posts...replies and likes, yes but I just now came across this. Shaking head.

It IS so evident that so many totally trust in this Pol. or that Pol. or whatever, Govt. to save them, even Christians, way too many (IMO).

"Maybe it’s just always been this way and I didn’t really see it…"

Could be the slowly boiling frog...subtle.

What made them do that? Maybe sound waves, or underground activity.

I don’t know. I looked it up and it says possibly, when murmuration occurs, they are being pursued by a raptor and are trying to not die but nevertheless end up dying when trying to escape because they all just follow each other.

Almost as if symbolic of trying to find hope & rest in Jesus Christ in churches.

History says the fall of an empire or a nation is due to immorality running rampant before its fall.

Some says that the church is the backbone of the nation.

If the falling away from the faith is happening in droves in these latter days, then how far behind will tis judgment from God comes on USA as falen Babylon? Revelation 18:1-24?

Could this be a double prophesy from Jeremiah about fallen Babylon?

Jeremiah 50:6 My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace. 7 All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice, even the Lord, the hope of their fathers.

8 Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks. 9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain. 10 And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith the Lord. 11 Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls; 12 Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.

13 Because of the wrath of the Lord it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues. 14 Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the Lord. 15 Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the Lord: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.

16 Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall flee every one to his own land. 17 Israel is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria hath devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones.

18 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria. 19 And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead. 20 In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.

Jeremiah 50:6-7 sounds like the churches in our country.

Jeremiah 50:8-12 sounds like nuclear weapons as arrows will come from the north; Russia? Chine? Both?

Jeremiah 50:13-15 sounds like the Babylon in Revelation 18:1-24

Jeremiah 50:16-17 sounds like Revelation 18:22-24 where the voice of the bride & the bridegroom will no longer be heard in her any more because the Bridegroom at the rapture event had come & gone.

Yet after the rapture, the angel with the everlasting gospel will be heard all over the world for when new believers will be saved along with the 144,000 Jews that become the witnesses for the duration of the great tribulation ( Revelation 7:1-8 ), before the end comes which is that fall of Babylon in verse 8 per Revelation 14:6-8. Indeed, one can see the sickle mentioned in Jeremiah 50:16-17 as the same sickles referred to in Revelation 14:13-20 and not just on those saints left behind whose works shall follow them into the dust.

Jeremiah 50:18-20 sounds like how those saints that get left behind being in iniquity & new believers that will die, will be pardoned and resurrected respectively, after the great tribulation to serve the King of kings on earth as kings and priests reigning with Him from all over the world in raising up the following generations in that 1000 year reign of Christ.

Kind of like wood, stubble, and hay getting burned off of that foundation spiritually of works that deny Him for why they were denied by Him to attend the marriage Supper above to be left behind as they shall die ( 1 Corinthians 3:10-17 ), for when their spirits will be with the Lord in Heaven ( 2 Corinthians 5:7-11 ) to await for their resurrections after the great tribulation; Revelation 6:9-11 & Revelation 7:9-17 & Revelation 20:1-6.

Signs of the times. For God to judge the nation of Babylon USA, it is no wonder why God is judging His House first as the Bridegroom of the saints & churches in Babylon before He comes back as the King of kings in judging the world in establishing His millennium kingdom on earth.

Luke 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. 29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; 30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. 32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. 33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Time to pray & trust Jesus Christ to have us ready as found abiding in him & His words as well as being free from all man made yokes of bondage of vows, promises, commitments to the Lord, to any cares of this life to be willing to go when the Bridegroom comes.

Maybe this is where the term "bird brain" comes from. lol.

Kind of reminds me of moms or dads when their kids want to do something that ALL THEIR FRIENDS ARE DOING, against their parents wishes or permission. Mom or dad: "Would you jump off a cliff if your friends did?"

...
6 A man will seize one of his brothers
in his father’s house, and say,
“You have a cloak, you be our leader;
take charge of this heap of ruins!”
7 But in that day he will cry out,
“I have no remedy.
I have no food or clothing in my house;
do not make me the leader of the people
And then also what is happening here...?

"And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.
When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:
In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people." Isaiah 3:5-7

"And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.
In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel." Isaiah 4:1-2

You don’t get the dog for face licks. You get him for plausible deniability.
I saw this coming from afar. I often suspected that Paul's word about the strong delusion was coming true. I sensed a sea change in the spirituality of humanity about 1995, and I was sure it had something to do with a world wide rejection of God and truth. I have kept my eye on it and I believe we are just about to witness the man of lawlessness. I think the scriptures you mentioned earlier are very much alive and appropriate for our times.

Aww, how sad. We humans are not good stewards over His creation, as He meant us to be. :(

Lemmings are worse.

Human leadership is what scripture sometimes refers to as "the arm of the flesh" and to use a modern aphorism "your arms are to short to box with God."

Any human "leader" is subject to trials, temptations, and circumstances that can hinder or even negate his or her effectiveness.

God however, can't be defeated, circumvented, or permanently ignored. God is not mocked. So, rest is found in Him. His Spirit is the only truly victorious leader. His promise is to lead, our responsibility is to follow, but first we have to know Him. As William Shakespeare might say, "there is the rub."

It's no easy thing to live life by faith when faith is frequently counterintuitive. That's where trust comes in, and trust is proven through relationship. If your parents dropped you a lot as a child, you'd be less inclined to trust them.

God does at times let us fall, but only in order to create the opportunity for self examination and recognition of persistent sin. In His grace and "parenthood ", He always lifts us back up, dusts us off, heals our wounds, and sets our feet again upon His path. I think those are defining qualities of "good" parenting. God is not a helicopter parent, but a faithful One.

Nah. Men are attracted to power like flies are attracted to a big steaming pile of dog poop. Men will kill to be in charge of a sinking ship or burning building.
That's hilarious, but my experience with power seekers is that most disappear at the first hint of danger. Ambition and bravery tend to be mutually exclusive as bravery can lead to the sudden end of ambition.;)

Aww, how sad. We humans are not good stewards over His creation, as He meant us to be. :(
And this is what it’s all about.....in Eden, when humans abandoned God, he allowed the “god” they chose to rule over then without his intervention. (Luke 4:5-8) God wanted the humans to experience first hand what a world without Him would become....and here we are at the end of this exercise, and for the majority, none the wiser, still looking to man under satan’s Influence to guide them....”the blind leading the blind”.

They are just “like their father the devil”....thoroughly corrupted by their power and vainly kidding themselves about their ability to create and maintain peace on this earth by their own rulership. It was always done with violence.....and it was doomed from the start, because God already knew how it would end, but the record of human history is now there for all to see....there is no nation on earth who serves the interests of the Creator....all are thieves and corruptly looking out only for themselves. They have never really cared about the people they were supposed to serve, but reversed that and had the people serve them......such is the corrupting influence of power over others. It’s the one thing God never gave humankind.....He was to be their King, law giver, and arbiter of all things because he is incorruptible.

Jesus taught us to pray for God’s “kingdom to come” and his “will to be done ON EARTH as it is in heaven”....humans have been mindlessly repeating this prayer for centuries without comprehending what it is that they are actually praying for. This is the prayer for the re-establishment of God’s rulership over mankind....the perfect rule of God that the first humans threw away at the lying suggestions of the first rebel. All this time we have been showing ourselves how pathetic we are at governing ourselves with sin as the driver and the devil and his henchmen as rulers.

The end of the lesson is approaching and those vainly clinging to man’s rulership will go down with it.
Those clinging to false worship will go down with it.
And those putting faith in their wealth or position will go down with it. All these systems will crumble under God’s incoming Kingdom. (Daniel 2:44)

Where will we find ourselves? Will we be on the receiving end of Jesus’ utter rejection of those who thought that they could combine true worship with any of the above?

Complete separation from the world as Jesus said, would mean ostracism and hatred from those who want to keep supporting it. (Matthew 7:21-23; John 15:18-21) God’s kingdom is the only rulership we can support. There is no dual citizenship. (John 18:36)

Time is running out and the devil is no longer subtle in his approach.....if we fail to see things for what they really are....and people for who they really are, we will not survive the greatest tribulation in the history of mankind that is fast approaching. (Matthew 24:21)

We must choose our path wisely. (Matthew 7:13-14)
