Here’s One “ Acts Skipper “ for you—- His name is Jesus.....”:Since they were unable to get to Jesus because of the crowd, they tore a hole in the roof above Him and lowered the paralyzed man before Him......when Jesus saw their FAITH, he said to the paralytic, ”Son , your SINS ARE FORGIVEN”.....Do you see Jesus or anybody else asking for some water so that this guy can be baptized before his sins are forgiven...Yeah, I thought not.....It’s Faith in Jesus PLUS NOTHING ! You have just seen the proof of that...... you’re welcome ....
That happened before Acts.

You did not know that?

Folks can sing about the blood until they are blue in the face, but if the do not obey Acts 2:38, the blood is not applicable to them.

They are bloodless "believers", trying to believe their way into finding remission of sins without obeying Acts 2:38.

It is a separatist movement against Peter, led by modernists.

Acts skippers on a massive scale trying to start their own "church".

They think being different than the 3000 at Pentecost is cool and progressive, but it is really terrible and they are only fooling themselves.
We are saved by the Lord Jesus death and resurrection period, not by ANY ritual or ordinance!

Are we baptized into Christ's death per Romans 6 or not?

Paul did not insult baptism as calling it a ritual, but the way to get into Christ.

You have nerves of steel.

You do know that one had to receive Jesus as their Lord before getting water baptized?
Did you know that John's disciples that already believed in Jesus were rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins in the book of Acts, also?

You need to find out the order of the NT.

Duh....give me a break....

So I guess the Book Of Acts is a chronicle of how the Disciples overthrew the teachings of Christ when it came to the matter of forgiveness of sins because of one’s Faith in Jesus.....interesting .....

Amen! These works-salvationists would walk around mountains of grace in order to find water.

Christ’s finished work of redemption is sufficient and complete to save believers. No supplements needed. (Romans 3:24-28)

You actually think that about Acts.

This is the motto of the Acts skipper.

They trump verses with verses, harmonizing nothing.

They even think Peter disobeyed Jesus in Acts 2:38 and Paul disobeyed Peter in Romans 10.

Ick!

If water baptism was all important and required, why did Apostle Paul thank God that he did not baptize that many?

Holy Spirit baptism, done at moment believed in Lord jesus!

Lets take a look...

Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart(They now BELIEVE), and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Now at this moment, these are believers (having been pricked in the heart and asking what shall we do). And, according to your own testimony, are filled with the Holy Ghost. Therefore, Peter and the rest of the apostles should have stated they are saved and need DO NOTHING.

Let's see what really happens...

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The construction of the greek text here supports the idea that peter was telling them to be baptized i the name of Jesus, as Jesus Himself is the source of the remission of their sins!
And in the name of Jesus would have also included in the name of the father and Holy Spirit also!

Nice hat dance to absolutely avoid the question. You stated in post #175...

Holy Spirit baptism, done at moment believed in Lord jesus!

Whereby, in post #177 I asked why did the apostles need to give the Acts 2:38 instructions IF these were already Holy Ghost filled.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
