Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are, and were created.”

Revelation 4:11

Today many people believe the universe will be wrapped up and done away with.

While it is true when death falls upon us.

The world we lived in is indeed no longer around us. Your family indeed continues on living after your life and death.

However considering the scripture above. The Bible can be used to signify that indeed one day this world (universe- not the land of Isreal), will end.

Therefore why would God destroy the universe if it was made for his pleasure that all things were created, including man and woman?

My understanding is that God will not throw away the universe, but redeem it. Transform it. This is part of the Yet-To-Come, as we were discussing in the other thread. This is the great Christian hope.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
(Revelation 21:1-5a)

Psalms 102:25-27 KJV
25) Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
26) They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
27) But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.

Isaiah 51:6 KJV
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

Call it the real "great reset",

Isaiah 65:14-17 KJV
14) Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
15) And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:
16) That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
17) For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

2 Peter 3:10-13 KJV
10) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11) Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12) Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

These, and some others, speak to me that this heaven and earth will be gone, a new one, untainted by sin, in it's place.

Much love!

Another way to say this, is, God created such things as pleased Him to create.

Hello Robert, Marks, Lambano

Isn’t it great that anyone form any position of life they are at, can if they desire seek for God and worship him freely? Anywhere in the world today? That anyone whom believes and follows and seeks and learns and grows in the knowledge of Christ and knowledge of God how much comfort, they can receive?

Even after the passing away of loved ones, or not so well loved one as not all families love each other some people hate uncle Johnny and aunt sally. That when they pass away, they will be resurrected and they will be given a spiritual body by God, for believers they receive reward for living life serving God here.

Those who did not desire to serve God, God still has a place for them! It’s not tormenting anguishing pain of flames of hell… however the unbeliever is given a spiritual body by God which may not be so well quipped to dwell in the kingdom of God so then they may stay outside.

It’s awesome, just the full scope of the reality in which it seems we live in (in Christ and his complete and total victory over sin, death, Satan, hell). God so loved the world, that through Christ, God reconciled everything back to himself.

Why and for what purpose? For you to be able to worship God freely, by the spirit having faith in the Gospel of Christ. To experience freedom and Liberty from death and sin, by the victory and strength of Christ indeed in dwelling inside of you. Being part of the kingdom as a child of God, believing in Jesus and the gospel. Abiding in Christ to have love for God and love for others.

Thank you all for commenting,
In Christ,
Matthew Gallagher

God doesn’t mind people having sex. He most assuredly created it. Though Marriage in the aspect of being with only one person seems applicable.

Though no one can earn Gods love can they? @quietthinker.
