Which ended a friendship that now you understand was the right thing or wrong thing?
The purpose of your question is what? I know what the memory of the event means to me. I already told you that.
I know now that I was right [I did not lie] even though I was wrong [I should have kept my mouth shut].
Is it both?
Why are you asking me to repeat my answer? What did you not understand?

I wish I was dead.
Not much hope in that.

I would try to help you if you really wanted the kind of help, I could offer. So far you seem to have had little interest in going in God's direction but in any case, consider this:

If we make the effort taking the first step in something that is necessary [to change our mind or to take up our cross] and asking Him for help as it is needed [when is it not?] then He will be there to take up the slack. God knows we cannot do it alone and when we also realize that, but grab hold of that cross anyway by faith, while asking Him to help us, will He refuse?

"And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief." Mark 9:24

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" Matt 7:7

"Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." James 4:3

But I would rather die, and leave the human race to their belief war's.

I do not speak for everyone else, but I and my wife are not in a mess. Next month we will complete 50 years of marriage, a good marriage, due to our connection with God. No tragedy and no man can take that away from us.

What a mighty God we serve!

How is God mighty on the basis you have been married for 50 years? Don't other people from other religions and spiritual beliefs remain married until death. (Native American Indians for one) You want to explain that one to me :D

I said I was willing to help, but you do not want such help. You only want to prove some point. Talk to a theologian.
Have a nice day!

Have I asked you or anyone here for help concerning Christian theology? It wouldn't matter if I believed in the Christ like other Christian's do, I'd still be defending what I believed to you and them. Do you not witness day in day out the battle between people really cones down to their personal beliefs. No one is happy until they've convinced everyone around them that their beliefs are true, and they will fight anyone who does not adhere to what they believe.

Belief is rampant.

It's in the government.
It's in the media.
It's in the corporations (Sale's & Retail)
It's in all our entertainment outlet's.
It's in the education sector.
It's in our relationships.

If gossip is against Christian teaching and Jehovah’s law then why do most of us continue to engage in it?
I've often wondered about the people that PM others privately when they get offended by someone's post. Probably women do that more than men. Men are less likely to gossip. There are lies spread on this forum about churches and people in the churches. Yes I've witnessed gossip and its evils on this site also.

You are agreeing with what Solomon wrote 3000 years ago:

"Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts." Prov. 21:2

The LORD pondereth the hearts. That is not you and it is not me doing the pondering, is it? And then there is also this:

"O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps." Jerem. 10:23

Jeremiah had it right then and it applies to you and to me also today. God, I believe, had a better Way then and He has a better Way now... again according to what Solomon wrote:

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones." Prov. 3:5-8

But then consider what Jesus said here:

"The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here." Matt 12:42

I don't see how Solomon or Jesus made a recommendation against believing itself. Believing strange and foreign God's was a great offence to them both. But believing in the one true Father Yahweh was of the utmost importance for a full life, and salvation. So, no, I don't agree that those Bible verses reflect what I am talking about.

Well... I'll not argue the point. Study it or if you will and/or talk to God about it. He is the One who can help, whether you believe it or not.

I wonder if we all can agree on what gossipping is.

Is it saying negative things about people when they are not around, true or not?

Is it simply saying anything about someone that isn't your business?

I think both, either way it’s no good to engage in.
