Lets say you are correct Faith, last time I checked Peter was long dead sir. Now I will say this, I do believe he is alive now and reside in the heavens, but what has he to do with God's earthly people at this time?

his successor has his keys and the threefold office!

Keys of authority! And power to bind and loose! Matt 16:18 and Matt 18:18 matt 28:19 Isa 22:21-22

Moral authority:
(Teaching)
Necessity of being taught by Christ:
Two edge sword: defining truth and condemning errors, and Interpreting scripture.

Jurisdictional authority:
(Governing / administering)
Necessity of Peter and the apostles and their successors to govern the holy church.

Spiritual authority:
(Life of Grace)
Sanctifying thru the mass and Sacraments

The apostles teaching is Christ’s teaching, Christ and His church are one! Acts 9:4

An absolute truth vs a biblical generalization!

a specific person vs all disciples

Jn 14:6 is absolute truth!

Matt 3:5-6 are only generalizations and not absolute!

Matt 16:17-19 refers only to Peter!

Jn19:26-27 refers to all disciples!

Ok start your protest! I’ll wait!
My old Pastor said to me once, when I asked that question, that there is no such thing as absolute truth because each person has their own truth based on their perspective. I don't agree nor will I ever agree. God is Spirit. That is an absolute truth and we can go on.....Jesus is the Son of God, there another. The Holy Spirit will come and dwell in those who have been saved by grace through faith....

Yes God is truth! Jn 14:6

Truth must be revealed by God, and in its fullness in the sacred deposit of faith by Christ to his church! Eph 4:5 Jude 1:3 and must be taught by the church, or proposed for our belief by the apostles!
Matt 28:19-20 Lk 1:4 Jn 20:21 acts 8:31 Rom 1:5 col 2:7 1 Tim 3:15
matt 18:17

As I said Faith, Peter is long since gone, however Christ's brothers are not. You are quite correct, those anointed ones, particularly the assigned faithful slave has those authorities, in fact it is their responsibility. From the Law covenant, God has put in place people to fill those positions, He is not a God of disorder by any means sir.
