The promises to Israel; are they for the people who are Israel according to the law?
Galatians 3:16
Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.[sup]17[/sup] And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ,[sup][j][/sup] that it should make the promise of no effect. [sup]18[/sup] For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

Romans 4
[sup]13[/sup] For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. [sup]14[/sup] For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect, [sup]15[/sup] because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression.
[sup]16[/sup] Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all [sup]17[/sup] (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”[sup][d][/sup])
All who would enter by faith have access to the promises of Israel, because they are grafted into Israel, which means 'rules with God', and as it says in Revelation, he who overcomes, I will give him to rule and reign with me.
Israel is God's people according to the Spirit then, as it's promises are to all those who enter the covenant by faith. We were grafted in to Christ, and made partakers of the holy nation, the kingdom of priests. God has a purpose for the Jews, but it is only to make them once again part of what they have been cut off of, and what we have been grafted into, Israel according to the promise.

What exactly is Abraham's inheritance? And has he received what he was promised?

[sup]13[/sup] For the promise that he would be the heir of the world...

Abraham was promised that from him, a nation would be born, and the nations would be blessed through him. The promise is to his seed Christ, that is, Christ will inherit the earth, and rule over it. The promise is also to Abraham and all who enter the promise by faith; they will rule and reign with him.

The promise is hidden also in the name 'Israel', which means who 'rules with God'. That is what the promise is all about. It is also hidden in the fact that from Abraham will come one nation, and through it the nations will be blessed. The one nation is a blessing to the others because it brings light to them, Christ, and thus it also rules over them. This nation is not according to the law, but according to faith, Israel according to the Spirit.

Down here in Satan's kingdom (Earth)
The promise to Abraham was that he would father many nations through Jacob, who had 12 sons, each becoming a nation of its own and collectively were known as Israel.. His seed would be numbered as the stars of heaven and the sands of the sea. Grace by faith belongs to those non-Israelite Adamic peoples of the world. I know neither of you will agree with me on this, but it is scriptural so like or not.

Not all of Adams descendants would comprise Israel, but all Adamic people are begotten of God, given His spirit and given dominion over the earth. So it is only fit that all of His children would inherit His kingdom. Only the Israelites will govern us in the restoration of Yahshua's kingdom.

I keep having to bring up the Ephesians 2 Scripture where Apostle Paul well explained this, by his use of the expression "commonwealth of Israel". God's promises first went to a chosen seed, and the remnant of that seed found grace through Christ Jesus, and the promises remained with them as Israel. All Gentiles who have believed as they are graffed in forming that "commonwealth of Israel" today, and it's about Christ's Church.

When Christ returns, the blindness which God put upon the rest of the seed of Israel will be removed. It is my hope then that they too will turn to Christ Jesus and believe, and also become grafted back in like Paul taught in Romans.

If we truly are Christ's, we were all baptized into one spirit. That includes Jews and Gentiles. And all have received the same calling in Christ Jesus, to be conformed to him. The promises, says Paul, are to Christ, and so they are to all who become partakers of Christ's life. In the new earth, Jerusalem will be according to the spirit. It is according to those who are grafted in. All who overcome in Christ Jesus rule and reign with him, not some.

Thank you Veteran, you removed the need for me to respond.

It is according to those who are grafted in. All who overcome in Christ Jesus rule and reign with him, not some.

We do not all have the same calling. Christ revealed this when He promised His Apostles to sit upon 12 thrones over the 12 tribes of Israel. That duty of those specific 12 thrones will belong to them only. It also reveals how 'few' there will be that shall actually 'overcome' to reign with Him; certainly not those who just 'believe' on Him and do nothing else but that.

When the New Jerusalem comes, it will be manifested where earthly Jerusalem is today, on earth. But it will reach into space above the earth as a cube. And all nations and peoples will flow unto It. And as written in the last verse of Ezekiel 48, Yehovah Shamah, which means 'God is there'.

Like God said in Isa.45:18, He created this earth to be inhabited, and it will be, just as He foretold us in His Word.

I do agree we are called to different things, and God has different works for all of us.

What I was speaking of is the fact we are called into one body, and one spirit. We are all called to the same unity, and as you say, we have a different function in that body. Agreed! :)

And yes, few find the way. It is a sad thing that man has built a theology so as to make the way appear wide, and give people a false impression that they have overcome, or that they do not need to. We have a high calling, we should tremble in fear and seek the Lord and his ways. Not be highminded!
