What does it mean to be born again? Jn 3:5
where is “faith alone” found in John 3?
To be born again is to be born from above, born of God.
In regards to "faith alone" in John 3.
John 3:15 - that whoever believes in Him "apart from additions or modifications" should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him "apart from additions or modifications" should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 “He who believes in Him "apart from additions or modifications" is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.. 36 The one who believes in the Son "apart from additions or modifications" has eternal life, but the one who refuses to believe in the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.
Born again is to be born from above...into eternal reality. It is a spiritual birth into the Kingdom realm. Most people experience this as a quickening in their spirit...something happening from a place they didn't know existed before.
Experiences vary.
All who are born from above experience a new love for God and sense a new motivation towards the things of God.
"Faith alone"???? Luther added in the word "alone". The truth is that we can't attain to a spiritual place (Zion) through human works, only by faith. However, we are justified by both faith and works. Having access to holiness by grace does not negate the need for righteousness.
What so few understand is the difference between righteousness and holiness.
do being born again is baptismal regeneration?
Baptized by ONE SPIRIT into ONE BODY.. (1 Corinthians 12:13) Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Not baptismal regeneration, which is a false Roman Catholic doctrine.then you must be baptized to be born again!
No such thing. The one baptism is a baptism into Christ...by the Spirit. We could see the water baptism as a precursor OR as a witness to what has already taken place. The baptism in water is an outward sign. Making a public rite to be equivalent to a spiritual awakening is through a faulty religious understanding of the depth of God's work in a person.
The RCC deals with the "unconverted" masses and has no real power over whom God accepts or rejects.
Being born again is by the will of the Father, not men. And religious men have a hard time taking a back seat to God.
But if God is not in control of events...then it is not His Church....but rather something we think we are doing for Him. That is the essence of a temporal religion...NOT Christianity.
Christianity is an anti-religion.
Through the Spirit and grace we have no need of the artifices of religious institutions.

You "added" the word baptism to Titus 3:5. Roman Catholic eisegesis.regeneration is a new creation a new creature in Christ
Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; (baptism)
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Your 'surface' reading of scripture and Roman Catholic eisegesis remains your Achilles heel.not added to scripture but a summary

must be "thefaith" you are talking too.You "added" the word baptism to Titus 3:5. Roman Catholic eisegesis.
Already explained this to you multiple times. In regards to circumcision, read Romans 2:28-29 and Romans 4:9-11 then contrast that with Spirit baptism and justification by faith alone.so it’s not baptism?
It’s not baptismal regeneration?
then what is it!
remember it’s a covenant not a Bible study!
there must be some initiation into the new covenant church not unlike circumcision in the mosaic covenant.
