He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
God is a God of now, and His word is speaking of now: We are either a born son of God now, or a child of the devil, and it is known by whether we are doing righteousness now or sinning with the devil
He that is committing sin of the devil now, is a child of the devil now.
He that is born of God now, cannot be sinning with the devil against God now.
If any man confesses sinning against God with the faith of Jesus, he is forgiven, washed clean, and born of God with the Spirit of Christ in the heart.
If any man is sinning now, he is unforgiven of God, not washed, nor being saved by Jesus.
Yesterday no more matters, whether having been sinning or doing righteousness, and tomorrow may not come, whether to sin again or to repent.
Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice.)
What we are hearing and doing today is all that matters in the judgment or mercy of God, whether hearkening unto the spirit of this world to sinning, or hearkening unto Jesus Christ to do His righteousness.
No man can be doing both good and evil at the same time, and no man can be a born son of God and a sinning child of the devil at the same time.
Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
