Black horse is galloping hard and fast!

Not so fast friends. There are two wheat harvests each year. Spring wheat and fall wheat. The drought is expected to be over by planting time. Keep in mind, that at the present time, breads and cereals are working on last year's harvest not this one.

Disaster In The Heartland: Wheat Crops In Kansas Are Failing On A Massive Scale - The Falling Darkness

The western part of the USA has been in sever drought for a few years. Wheat is so poor, fields will be abandoned.

Failed crops?
Probably cause for DC to throw a gala and celebrate the news.

The Feds have been Paying Owners of Farm land to agree to allow their land to go fallow. Contracts, No crops, No livestock. Payouts... “Billions”.

Bill Gates ring a bell? He’s been buying thousands of acres of farm land.

If I had not been reading and recalling recent reports, I'd be worried. But I recall that Biden blinked and gave farmers and vendors the right to negotiate and obtain fertilizer from Russia without the public knowing they had done so. Fox had a farmer on the news about four days ago and they were predicting a much more robust harvest in the fall. Russia only affects us because of the fertilizer issue. Otherwise, Ukraine wheat deliveries have no affect on the US. They do affect Africa immensely. I worry about Africa. They do have a light at the end of the tunnel. Russia is heavily involved in Africa. Russia may ship wheat to bail them out.

Food Lines Get Depressingly Long in the U.S. Again as Crops Fail All Over the Globe – America First Report

In a few months, prediction is food crisis will get worse.
Even if the food is available to buy, the price inflation makes it hard to keep food on the table for a growing number of people and they likely cant eat some of the things they like anymore.

A friend who does landscaping told me yesterday that he has been watching the prices of weed eaters going up every single week for months now. I notice it, too. A roll of roofing paper I bought for $17 just a few months ago is now $27 for the exact same thing.

Thankfully the Lord has blessed us so we haven't needed a food bank until now, but I'm not surprised that more and more people are having to turn to it. If your income is fixed, the price of goods is clearly not. It keeps climbing upward.

Good heavens... That was hard to read. I posted about drought in the US being likely a good three months ago, but you're never sure if it will turn out that bad. This looks even worse than expected, however.

Infrared satellite imagery designed to measure moisture levels and the health of farmlands suggests that staple crops such as wheat are in poor condition and in sharp decline among major exporters including the Ukraine, the US and India. And from the BBC article

As harvest time looms for the world's main wheat producers, countries that import wheat are hoping for a bumper global crop so that record high prices might fall. But analysis on the health of crops around the world, shared with the BBC, suggests that's unlikely, and that Russia could be the only big winner.

From his farm three hours south-east of Paris, Sébastien Neveux is worried. Here in France's main wheat-producing region, the weather has been strange recently.

It was extremely dry in March, April and May, a crucial time for wheat crops in France which need moisture to pull minerals up from the ground. Then, in June, there was heavy rain and hail. It was too much, too late.

"I'll have lost 40% of this field because of drought and intense heat," says Mr Neveux. He estimates he'll lose 25% of his wheat crop overall.

I noticed that. Makes one wonder if it's just a coincidence or not.

I dont know, but I do not believe God leaves anything to chance.

Ukraine and Russia just reached an agreement to ship Ukrainian Wheat from the ports ..... Looks like Africa called their buddy Putin and told him, if we can't get Ukrainian wheat, we want yours. Ukraine will now ship wheat. Looks like Putin is probably going to make a few rubles on that deal as well. My bet is that Russia will have some sort of shipping agreement with a corrupt Ukrainian government that greases the palm of Putin. Remember, the White House already agreed to allow vendors to get fertilizer for US farms in secret.
