I don’t know what the situation is where you live - I know internet access is difficult, inconvenient and expense in some parts of the world - but you have some access to the internet and websites such as Bible Gateway offer many translations you can read online.

That might be a good short-term solution for you.

One of mine is the New American Standard Bible. I like it but still use the KJV mostly.
